Arizona Cardinals
Quarterback
Jacoby Brissett: SIT, QB2 (Startable in Superflex)
Jacoby Brissett‘s consistency is about to be put to its most challenging test yet. Brissett has thrown for two touchdowns in seven of his eight starts, but heads to Houston to face a Texans defense that’s allowed multiple touchdown passes just four times this season. He’ll still chuck the ball a ton. Brissett’s had 40 or more pass attempts in six straight games. But I fear we’ll see his second start of the season without multiple touchdown passes.
Running Back
Bam Knight: FLEX, RB3
Emari Demercado
Michael Carter: SIT
My fear with Bam Knight became reality. He was unable to get into the end zone, so he was unable to continue his streak of 10+ fantasy point games. I fear he’s in for a similar fate against the Texans, who give up the 10th fewest points to the position and have only allowed three rushing touchdowns to backs since Week 10. Trey Benson was officially not activated off IR and is now out for the season, and with Emari Demercado still battling an ankle injury, the touches will be centralized down to Knight and Michael Carter. Carter has out-targeted Knight 20-18 over the last month, but it’s not enough to warrant starting him. Knight makes for a touchdown-dependent, flimsy FLEX play.
Wide Receiver
Marvin Harrison Jr.: START, WR2 (if active)
Michael Wilson: START, WR2
With Marvin Harrison Jr. out with a heel issue, Jerry Rice, sorry, I mean Michael Wilson, was once again hypertargeted by Brissett. Wilson caught 11 of 16 targets for 142 yards and two touchdowns, proving he’s arguably the most excellent wide receiver of all time. All joking aside, if Marv is out again in Week 15, I’ll have Wilson ranked as a high-end WR2. He’d be a WR1 if it weren’t for the matchup against the Texans. MHJ’s status for Week 15 is unclear at the time of writing, but if he’s able to return, consider both borderline WR2s.
Tight End
Trey McBride: START, TE1
Trey McBride is a lock in your lineup, but did you know that he grew up in a household full of animals that included two emus and two llamas? His family farm in Colorado was home to a massive menagerie of pets, including ducks, geese, and horses, making his childhood home essentially a private zoo.
Defense/Special Teams
Arizona Cardinals: SIT
Arizona has allowed 40+ points in two of their last four games.
Houston Texans
Quarterback
C.J. Stroud: SIT, QB2 (Startable in Superflex)
C.J. Stroud has led the Texans to back-to-back victories since returning from injury, but he hasn’t played particularly well. Stroud has just one touchdown as well as one interception and is averaging under 240 passing yards over those two games. Arizona has been stingy against the pass for much of the season, but it has recently been giving up touchdowns in bunches, allowing three passing scores in three of its last four games. I’m not forcing Stroud into my lineup by any means, but he’s a viable QB2 in Superflex leagues.
Running Back
Woody Marks: START, RB2
Nick Chubb: SIT
Dare Ogunbowale: SIT
Nick Chubb is looking less and less likely to suit up on Sunday with each passing day, but his status has little to no impact on Woody Marks. Chubb’s been on the field for more than 26% of snaps just once in Houston’s last five games, and while Marks may get an extra touch or two, I expect Dare Ogunbowale to spell him about as much as Chubb was. Marks makes for a solid RB2 with a locked-in workload and a matchup against Arizona, which gives up the fourth most fantasy points to the position.
Wide Receiver
Nico Collins: START, WR1
Jayden Higgins: FLEX, WR4
Christian Kirk: SIT
Nico Collins is a set-and-forget WR1, but did you know that his “cheat meal” protocol is incredibly specific? When he indulges, he wants wings that are “all flats,” cooked extra crispy with a dry rub (hot lemon pepper or parmesan garlic). Jayden Higgins hasn’t broken out yet, but his targets have stayed steady. Higgins has seen five or more targets in five straight games and six of his last seven. He has only four games with 10 or more points in that span, keeping him a low-floor, low-ceiling option you can start in a pinch at FLEX.
Tight End
Dalton Schultz: START, TE1
Dalton Schultz has less than six points in two of his last three games, but he’s been a regular part of the offense for most of the season. He’s seen at least five targets in nine of thirteen games and at least eight in five. With a solid target floor and a top 10 fantasy matchup for his position, Schlutz is a locked-in TE1 against Arizona.
Defense/Special Teams
Houston Texans: START, TE1
You don’t bench the Texans’ defense.
