Washington Commanders

Quarterback

Marcus Mariota: START, QB1-2 BORDERLINE

The Commanders have wisely ruled out Jayden Daniels for Week 15’s divisional tilt with the Giants, so Marcus Mariota will once again draw the start for Washington. Mariota has performed admirably in relief of Daniels, logging three top-10 finishes in the six games he’s started under center. The Giants pose another great chance for Mariota to finish as a QB1. New York allows the third-most points to quarterbacks, the second-most scrimmage yards per game, and the third-most rushing yards to QBs per game. While it’s not the sexiest option and you’ll probably have a better choice in single-QB formats, Mariota is a perfect QB2 for Superflex and is startable in any format if you’re in a pinch.

Running Back

Chris Rodriguez Jr.: FLEX, RB3
Jeremy McNichols: SIT
Jacory Croskey-Merritt: SIT

The Commanders’ backfield has been a mess this season, but Chris Rodriguez Jr. is operating as the lead back for now. Rodriguez has led the team in carries in three straight games and has 50% of the team’s carries inside the five dating back to Week 9. No other RB on the team has more than 10%. It’s a soft matchup for Rodriguez against the Giants, who allow the second-most rushing yards per game to RBs, but with only one singular reception on the year, he’ll likely need to find the end zone to return flex value. Jeremy McNichols and Jacory Croskey-Merritt are both easy sits as things stand.

Wide Receiver

Terry McLaurin: START, WR2
Noah Brown: SIT
Deebo Samuel: START, WR3

Since returning from injury, Terry McLaurin has led or co-led the team in targets in both games. McLaurin exhibited good chemistry with Mariota in Week 13 against Denver, posting a 7/96/1 line on 14 targets. Unsurprisingly, the Giants are a plus matchup for wide receivers, allowing the fourth-most points to the position. McLaurin profiles as a midrange WR2 in what could be a defensive struggle disguised as an offensive shootout. Deebo Samuel may have fallen behind McLaurin in the pecking order over the last two weeks, but he has solid enough usage to keep him as a decent WR3 or flex in this favorable matchup.

Tight End

Ben Sinnott: SIT

With Zach Ertz done for the year, it’ll be Ben Sinnott and John Bates operating as the Commanders’ top tight ends. Both would be incredibly risky starts and aren’t recommended for the playoffs. But if you have roster space in a dynasty league, snag Sinnott if he’s available in case the second-year pro makes the most of this opportunity.

Defense/Special Teams

Washington Commanders: SIT

Washington allows the third-most yards and fifth-most points per game. No thanks.

New York Giants

Quarterback

Jaxson Dart: START, QB1

Jaxson Dart unsurprisingly had his lowest rushing output since reclaiming the starting role after the Giants voiced a desire for the rookie to be more careful with his running decisions. Even so, he produced 20 yards on just four carries, and his ability to scramble keeps him as a QB1 against a soft defense (see the note above on Washington’s defensive woes). Whether it’s through the air or on the ground, Dart has a great chance to come through for your team in the fantasy playoffs.

Running Back

Tyrone Tracy Jr.: FLEX, RB3
Devin Singletary: FLEX, RB3
Eric Gray: SIT

The last time we saw Tyrone Tracy Jr. before the Week 14 bye, he left the game against New England with a hip injury and did not return. The good news is, Tracy practiced fully Wednesday and looks ready to return to action. The bad news is that he will continue to split carries with Devin Singletary. Singletary is the preferred goal-line back, handling 50% of the team’s carries inside the five since Cam Skattebo went down, compared to 14.3% for Tracy. Once again, it’s a good matchup for both players, but the workload split nerfs the upside for both players. I’d prefer Singletary for the higher scoring chance, but am avoiding both if possible.

Wide Receiver

Isaiah Hodgins: SIT
Darius Slayton: SIT
Wan’Dale Robinson: START, WR2/3 BORDERLINE

Wan’Dale Robinson has been one of the more reliable floor plays in fantasy this year and should remain that way in Week 15’s tilt with the Commanders. In eight games with Dart, Robinson has produced 11.6 PPR points per game, averaging 8.1 targets, 5.6 receptions, and 51.6 yards during that span. It’s worth noting that both of Robinson’s massive boom games this year have come with different quarterbacks one with Russell Wilson and the other with Jameis Winston but a safe floor and potential to boom keep Robinson as a startable option. He’s more of a flex to me than a WR2, while none of the other Giants receivers should be trusted in this spot.

Tight End

Theo Johnson: STREAMER

Theo Johnson has shown great chemistry with Dart this season, especially in the red zone, catching all five of his touchdowns with the rookie under center. The Commanders allow the second-most points and touchdowns to tight ends, so it’s a great week to stream Johnson if you lost Ertz or don’t love the matchup for your other TEs.

Defense/Special Teams

New York Giants: SIT

New York allows the second-most yards and third-most points per game. No thanks.
