New York Jets
Quarterback
Tyrod Taylor: SIT
Justin Fields: SIT
Brady Cook: SIT
A dumpster fire of a season got some gasoline thrown on it when Tyrod Taylor left Week 14 with a groin injury and wasn’t able to return. But with Justin Fields inactive, it was undrafted rookie Brady Cook who took over. Neither Fields nor Taylor was practicing at the time of writing, and Cook is getting all the first-team reps. It looks like Cook will be this week’s starter, but I don’t think it really matters.
Running Back
Breece Hall: START, RB2 (if active)
Isaiah Davis: SIT
Remember said gasoline on said dumpster fire? Well, Breece Hall didn’t practice on Wednesday, and his status for Sunday is unclear. It could be veteran rest, but keep an eye on practice reports. If Hall’s able to go, fire him up as a low-ceiling RB2 in a bottom-five matchup against the Jaguars. If Isaiah Davis winds up making the start, don’t.
Wide Receiver
Adonai Mitchell: SIT
John Metchie III: SIT
Allen Lazard: SIT
These guys were already borderline starters with Taylor and Fields under center. I’d rather start Garrett Wilson while he’s still on IR than any active Jets receiver with Cook under center.
Tight End
Mason Taylor: STREAMER (if active)
Mason Taylor was the lone bright spot in the Jets’ offense against the Dolphins, seeing eight targets and having his first double-digit fantasy day in five weeks. But he’s battling a neck injury and hasn’t practiced at the time of writing. If he’s able to go, he’s nothing more than a decent desperation dart throw considering the volume and top-five fantasy matchup against the Jags.
Defense/Special Teams
New York Jets: SIT
The Jets’ defense has forced one turnover this season.
Jacksonville Jaguars
Quarterback
Trevor Lawrence: SIT, QB2 (Startable in Superflex)
Trevor Lawrence is a solid yet unspectacular start in Superflex leagues against the Jets. It’s an ok matchup. He’s played ok lately. Seven touchdown passes in his last three games, but under 260 passing yards in all three, and a three-pick game mixed in as well. He’ll chip in some yards on the ground, but Lawrence is just, you know, ok.
Running Back
Travis Etienne Jr.: START, RB1
Bhayshul Tuten: SIT
Travis Etienne has been on a touchdown binge and should keep on ET-ing (see what I did there) against the Jets. New York is allowing the third-most points to the position and has given up 10 total touchdowns to running backs since Week 11. Inefficiency doesn’t matter when you’re scoring tuddys, and I expect ETN to have at least one in Week 15.
Wide Receiver
Jakobi Meyers: START, WR2
Brian Thomas Jr.: FLEX, WR4
Parker Washington: SIT
Jakobi Meyers saw 10 targets and caught a touchdown in his third straight game, seemingly taking over as the top target for Jacksonville. Brian Thomas Jr did see six targets, catching three and making two incredible catches, one of them with one hand, and seemed to get a bit of his swagger back.

Meyers is the WR1 on this team and a WR2 for the week, but I like what I saw from BTJ. Even after trading away Sauce Gardner, the Jets haven’t given up much to receivers. Since the deal, New York has allowed just one 100-yard receiver (the only one over 80 yards) and three receiving touchdowns to the position.
Tight End
Brenton Strange: START, Borderline TE1
I wouldn’t panic after Brenton Strange‘s dud. He saw six targets (the most since his return from injury) and faced a Chiefs defense that’s shut down tight ends all year. This is just what it feels like to have a tight end that’s slightly above tHe gLoB.
Defense/Special Teams
Jacksonville Jaguars: START
