Detroit Lions
Quarterback
Jared Goff: START, BORDERLINE QB1
It’s a homecoming for Jared Goff to sunny California, where he gets to face the team that drafted him first overall in 2016. Unfortunately for Goff, the Rams are a bottom-10 matchup for opposing QBs, allowing just 15.5 ppg to the position. What makes matters worse is that the Rams are top five in time to pressure (2.47 seconds), and Goff has struggled mightily under pressure this season. In a clean pocket, Goff has a completion rate of 80.7%, best in the league. When pressured, that number drops to a woeful 42%. Goff has only been pressured on 32.4% of throws this season, but he and the offensive line may be tested against the Rams this week. There’s plenty of upside in what projects to be a shootout, but some inherent risk as well.
Running Back
Jahmyr Gibbs: START, RB1
David Montgomery: FLEX, RB3
Jahmyr Gibbs feasted on “Thursday Night Football” with three rushing touchdowns, seven receptions, and nearly 40 total fantasy points. That performance is probably the reason that plenty of you are even in the playoffs in the first place. Gibbs gets a tough test against the Rams, who allow the third-fewest points to the position, but let’s be real — there’s no way he’s on your bench this week. Among players with at least 100 carries, Gibbs has the fifth-highest explosive-run rate at 7.5%. He has the chance to take it to the house on any given play. On the other side of the coin is David Montgomery, who has scored in two straight after a stretch of disappointing performances. Still, in those past two weeks, Monty has seen a total of just 17 opportunities. That’s not a volume conducive to success in the fantasy playoffs.
Wide Receiver
Amon-Ra St. Brown: START, WR1
Jameson Williams: START, WR2/3 BORDERLINE
Kalif Raymond: SIT
Isaac TeSlaa: SIT
In a heroic performance, Amon-Ra St. Brown returned without missing a game from a low-ankle sprain and nearly recorded 100 receiving yards. With an extra 10 days to rest up, the Sun God should be all systems go as a top-tier play for Week 15. The more interesting discussion surrounds Jameson Williams. Since Dan Campbell took over as play-caller against the Commanders in Week 10, Jamo has four games with at least 17 fantasy points and one big ol’ goose egg — against the Giants of all teams. The Rams are a middling passing defense in many respects, but they do allow low numbers in terms of yards per reception (10.15) and yards per target (6.91), meaning a high-volume day from Goff might be needed. Another minor downside is that Williams excels vs. man coverage, which the Rams deploy less than 20% of the time. Still, a consistent role and more booms than busts in recent weeks mean that Williams is a fine starter in most leagues.
Tight End
Ross Dwelley: SIT
It does not do to dwell on dreams, and Ross Dwelley‘s dreams of dwelling anywhere but the waiver wire are not doing well.
Defense/Special Teams
Detroit Lions: SIT
The Lions are down several key players in their secondary and now face Matthew Stafford, Puka Nacua, and Davante Adams. No thanks.
Los Angeles Rams
Quarterback
Matthew Stafford: START, QB1
For the same reasons that the Lions’ defense is a sit, Matthew Stafford is a great play against his former team. In the midst of an MVP campaign, Stafford now faces a defense that has allowed the fifth-most points to QBs and fourth-most passing touchdowns on the season. Sometimes things really are that simple. Fire up Stafford in all formats.
Running Back
Kyren Williams: START, RB2
Blake Corum: FLEX, RB3
The best way to beat the Lions is through the air, as they’ve been a very tough defense against the run in 2025. Detroit allows just 3.88 yards per carry (seventh-fewest) and is also the second-toughest matchup in terms of points per game to fantasy RBs. Kyren Williams is still the starter for all intents and purposes, but Blake Corum has been cutting into the workload in recent weeks. While that’s likely been due to Williams’ minor ankle injury and the Rams playing with hefty leads, it is a factor to consider as NFL teams prepare for their own playoffs. Considering all of these factors, Williams is a volume-based RB2 as the lead back in a prolific offense despite the tough matchup, while Corum is a touchdown-dependent flex. I like Corum as a hold for future weeks, but I’d personally look elsewhere in Week 15, even after his explosive performance against the Cardinals last week.
Wide Receiver
Davante Adams: START, WR1
Puka Nacua: START, WR1
We’re not going to waste a lot of time here, as you all know just how incredible Puka Nacua and Davante Adams have been this season. Nacua is second among WRs in yards on the season, and Adams is five clear of second place in terms of receiving touchdowns with 14. The Lions have allowed 26 receiving touchdowns on the year, and this game has an implied total of over 50 points. What else do I need to say?
Tight End
Colby Parkinson: STREAMER, TE2
Among the more interesting players to discuss for the Rams is Colby Parkinson, who has flourished since Tyler Higbee went on IR. Parkinson has scored in four of his last five contests and has been the clear front-runner for the tight end group in L.A. in Higbee’s absence. Still, Parkinson is yet to record more than five targets, four receptions, or 47 yards in a single game this year, making him a touchdown-dependent streamer in a game that should have lots of scoring opportunities.
Defense/Special Teams
Los Angeles Rams: SIT
They’re a better option than the Lions this week, but I’m still not starting this defense in what projects to be an offensive shootout.
