Minnesota Vikings
Quarterback
J.J. McCarthy: SIT, QB2 (Startable in Superflex)
Why use your elite receivers when you have mid tight ends? J.J. McCarthy threw all three of his touchdowns to tight ends: two to Josh Oliver, one to T.J. Hockenson. McCarthy looked, dare I say, poised at times, didn’t make dumb mistakes, and ran when he had to. He still has no business near anyone’s lineup in 1QB, but his respectable performance makes him a precarious yet intriguing option in Superflex leagues against Dallas.
Running Back
Aaron Jones Sr.: FLEX, RB3
Jordan Mason: FLEX, RB3
A shared backfield between Jordan Mason and Aaron Jones Sr. has rendered both utterly useless in fantasy. Jones gets the receiving work, but it’s Mason with the majority of touchdowns since Jones’ return. In such a delectable matchup with Dallas, both are startable as flex options. But they cannibalize each other’s production too much to consider them anything more than that.
Wide Receiver
Justin Jefferson: START, WR2
Jordan Addison: SIT
Jalen Nailor: SIT
So McCarthy completed just under 70% of his pass attempts and threw three touchdowns. That means Justin Jefferson made up for his season with a monster game in one of the most crucial weeks of the season. Right? Right? No? OK, well, he at least caught one touchdown. No? Oh. Well, he at least had 10 fantasy points. No, all that would make too much sense for Week 14 of the 2025 NFL season. Jordan Addison led the way with four catches on seven targets for 67 yards, and even Jalen Nailor had a better day than Jefferson. Nailor caught three of three targets for 30 yards, while Jefferson came down with only two of four for 11. The only part of the pass game in Minnesota you should consider for fantasy is Jefferson, and even he’s still a huge gamble. I wouldn’t blame you for benching him for the rest of the season, but I don’t mind trotting him up there as a risky WR2-WR3 in the best possible matchup for receivers in fantasy. I just can’t do it with Addison, though.
Tight End
T.J. Hockenson: SIT
T.J. Hockenson has scored a touchdown in three games. He’s scored less than 10 fantasy points in two of them.
Defense/Special Teams
Minnesota Vikings: SIT
Dallas is the third-highest-scoring team in the league, and Minnesota ranks in the bottom half of the league in turnovers.
Dallas Cowboys
Quarterback
Dak Prescott: START, QB1
Dak Prescott is an elite fantasy option, but did you know that his pregame meal is widely considered a culinary crime? He fuels up for games by eating spaghetti with marinara sauce, but he insists on drizzling ranch dressing over the pasta, swearing by the tangy, creamy combination despite the horror of Italians everywhere.
Running Back
Javonte Williams: START, RB2
Malik Davis: SIT
Jaydon Blue: SIT
Javonte Williams has been one of the best values in fantasy this season, scoring 10 or more points in six of his last seven games and surpassing 1,000 rushing yards in a season for the first time in his career. The Vikings present a formidable challenge, however. Minnesota has allowed just one 100-yard rusher since Week 9 and gives up the 11th-fewest fantasy points to the position. Williams is a solid RB2 with one of the safest floors in all the land.
Wide Receiver
George Pickens: START, WR1
CeeDee Lamb: START, WR1 (in concussion protocol)
Ryan Flournoy: FLEX, WR4 (if Lamb inactive)
CeeDee Lamb suffered a concussion against the Lions on Thursday night, but was able to stuff the stat sheet before leaving the game. Lamb caught six of eight targets for 121 yards in less than three quarters and is reportedly trending in the right direction to play in Week 15. If you plan on waiting on Lamb, it’s a good idea to check and see if Ryan Flournoy is available on the waiver wire. Dallas and Minnesota play on Sunday night, so you’ll have a solid option to pivot to if Lamb is a late inactive. Flournoy would be a desperation flex option if Lamb were unable to suit up. George Pickens had a down game against Detroit, and there’s been some talk about the alleged lack of effort, but that’s nothing but gobbledygook at this point. With or without Lamb, he’s a WR1.
Tight End
Jake Ferguson: START, TE1
He’s no longer in the TE1 overall conversation, but Jake Ferguson is still averaging six targets a game over his last four and scored 10 or more fantasy points in three. He’s a borderline TE1 most weeks, regardless of matchup.
Defense/Special Teams
Dallas Cowboys: STREAMER
Any defense facing McCarthy is in streamer consideration. Even Dallas. Minnesota leads the league with 26 giveaways.
