Tennessee Titans
Quarterback
Will Levis: Sit
Week 9 ended in dramatic fashion for Mason Rudolph and the Titans. Tennessee came out on top in overtime over the Patriots, and Rudolph had his best game since taking over the starting job from Will Levis in Week 7. He completed 20 of 33 attempts for 240 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. Despite leading the team to their first win since Week 4, Rudolph likely didn’t show enough to keep the job, as Levis is expected back under center against the Chargers. Either way, neither Levis nor Rudolph will be recommended starts this week against a Los Angeles defense that just forced Jameis Winston into three interceptions in a 27-10 beatdown.
Running Back
Tony Pollard: Start, RB2
Julius Chestnut: Sit
Have a day, Tony Pollard. Like Rudolph, Pollard is coming off his best game of the season last week, as he turned 28 carries into 128 yards, adding three receptions on three targets for 26 yards against the Patriots; he also had a touchdown taken back from a holding call. That’s now back-to-back weeks with at least 90+ yards on the ground, and Tennessee should continue to lean on Pollard. You may want to temper expectations this week, as the Chargers are among the league’s best in defending the run and fantasy points allowed to opposing RBs.
Tyjae Spears was ruled out again with a hamstring injury, and he may miss another week and then some. That leaves Julius Chestnut to back up Pollard again. Against New England, Chestnut only had five carries that he turned into 22 yards.
Wide Receiver
Calvin Ridley: FLEX Option, WR3
Nick Westbrook-Ikhine: Sit but monitor
Since Week 6, Calvin Ridley has seen a total of 40 targets, and while he hasn’t found the end zone in that span, he has only 18 receptions for 258 yards. He’s clearly the Tennessee receiver to own the majority of the target share, and he’ll remain a FLEX option off that alone. The Chargers defense is the league-best against opposing WRs this fantasy season.
Despite Nick Westbrook-Ikhine scoring in his fourth straight game against the Patriots, I think he is a speculative bench add at best right now, and you should take a wait-and-see approach before inserting him into your lineup.
Tight End
Chig Okonkwo: Sit
The Tennessee TE room continues to be fantasy-irrelevant. Chig Okonkwo dropped a TD against the Patriots and finished his day with three receptions on four targets for 38 scoreless yards. Nick Vannett found the end zone, but it doesn’t mean anything fantasy-wise.
Los Angeles Chargers
Quarterback
Justin Herbert: Start, QB2
Entering Week 10, Justin Herbert owns a 10:1 passing touchdown to interception ratio, and that INT was all the way back in Week 2. He only has one 300+ yard game on the season (Week 7), but between Week’s 8 and 9, he has totaled 561 yards with four touchdowns. Herbert hasn’t felt like the viable fantasy QB that he has been in years past, but if you are a Jordan Love or Geno Smith (both on their BYE) owner, Herbert could be a streaming candidate this week; the same goes for Dak Prescott after news broke on Monday that he is going to miss multiple weeks.
The Titans held Drake Maye to 206 yards, one touchdown (and two interceptions), but he did have 95 yards on the ground off eight carries.
Running Back
J.K. Dobbins: Start, RB2
Kimani Vidal: Sit
J.K. Dobbins found the end zone twice in the blowout win against the Browns, turning 14 carries into 85 yards, and also caught both of his targets for 20 yards. The Chargers have leaned on the run game most of the season and should continue to do so against a Tennessee defense that just allowed Rhamondre Stevenson to score twice, once on the ground and another through the air. It is worth mentioning that he only ran for 16 yards on 10 carries but did catch all 5 of his targets for 38 yards.
Kimani Vidal remains fantasy irrelevant at this time but is worth holding in the event that Dobbins were to miss any time.
Wide Receiver
Ladd McConkey: FLEX Option, WR3
Quentin Johnston: Start if you must, FLEX
Joshua Palmer: Sit
In Week 9 against Cleveland, despite Ladd McConkey leading the way in snaps (48) and targets (7), it was both Quentin Johnston and Joshua Palmer who found the end zone. If there is any Chargers WR worth starting week over week, it’s still arguably McConkey. Since Week 3, he has no less than at least six targets per game, and a consistent rapport is there between Herbert and him. QJ could be a name worth having in your lineup this week, as names like Cedric Tillman, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Jakobi Meyers, and the fleet of Packers WRs are all on BYE.
Tight End
Will Dissly: Sit
Despite Will Dissly offering some productivity in Weeks 7 and 8, he caught just two of three targets for nine yards in the win against the Browns. Surely there are better TE options out there to stream this week, leaving Dissly out of your lineup.
