Minnesota Vikings

Quarterback

Sam Darnold: Start, QB1

Week 10 is such a sweet spot for Sam Darnold and the Vikings – what could possibly go wrong? The Jaguars are giving up the most fantasy points to opposing QBs this season, allowing an average of 24.5 points per game per FantasyData. Darnold enters this game with a 17:7 touchdown to interception ratio and has certainly been a pleasant surprise this season under head coach Kevin O’Connell and his offense.

In the Sunday night win against the Colts, Darnold completed 28 of 34 attempts for 290 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions, adding 14 rushes on 4 carries. He’s thrown for at least 240 yards in three straight games and is poised to be a great play this week.

Running Back

Aaron Jones: Start, RB2

Like Darnold, Aaron Jones has a great matchup to seemingly get right this week. Jones has been a bit pedestrian in the last two games, totaling 122 scoreless yards on the ground on 40 carries while adding 55 yards through the air on all six of his targets. He’s only scored twice on the ground this season (Week 1 & 7) and has one reception score back in Week 3.

He’s a fine RB2 at this stage in the season, and Jacksonville is allowing the third most fantasy points to RBs on the year.

Wide Receiver

Justin Jefferson: Start, WR1
Jordan Addison: FLEX option, WR3
Jalen Nailor: Sit

There’s not much to say about Justin Jefferson; he’s a set-and-forget and just enjoy the ride. Jordan Addison found the end zone last week against Indianapolis and could be set for another productive game against the pass-funnel Jaguars defense, even though his overall season has been disappointing since his return to action in Week 4.

Jalen Nailor also found the end zone against the Colts, but he is not on the fantasy radar.

Tight End

T.J. Hockenson: Start, TE2
Josh Oliver: Sit

T.J. Hockenson played 33 snaps compared to Josh Oliver’s 41 last week per FantasyData and caught three of four targets for 27 yards. It’s going to be a slow burn as he eases back into the fold, but he can be started given the shallow landscape of fantasy TEs.

Despite finding the end zone in back-to-back games, I’d be hard-pressed to stream Oliver, as he’s TD-dependent.

Jacksonville Jaguars

Quarterback

Trevor Lawrence: Sit

It’s been a tough go this season for the Jags and Trevor Lawrence. Per FantasyData, the fourth-year QB is the QB21 entering Week 10. He has 2004 yards, owns an 11:6 touchdown to interception ratio, and has 113 yards on the ground with three rushing scores. At the time of writing, he’s been limited in practice with a shoulder injury, but regardless of health, he’s not a QB worth streaming this season.

Running Back

Travis Etienne Jr.: Sit
Tank Bigsby: Sit

It truly is a sad state of affairs when Travis Etienne Jr. is simply unplayable this season. Aside from a few weeks of missed time with injuries, Etienne has simply been a dud this year. He has 254 rushing yards and two scores on the year, with just 18 receptions for 97 scoreless yards. Both he and Tank Bigsby are better off on your bench this week against a Vikings defense that is allowing the 26th most fantasy points to RBs on the year.

Wide Receiver

Brian Thomas Jr: Start, WR2
Parker Washington: Sit

Rookie WR Brian Thomas Jr. has been the lone bright spot for the Jags this season, totaling 595 yards and 5 touchdowns on 35 receptions. Entering Week 10, he could be in for a productive day after a poor Week 9, as Minnesota is allowing the most fantasy points to opposing receivers. Parker Washington was a speculative waiver add entering Week 9 after Christian Kirk was lost for the season, but he caught three of six targets for 41 yards in the loss to Philly. He won’t be worthy of starting this week, and the same goes for Gabe Davis if he plays through his shoulder injury.

Tight End

Evan Engram: Start, TE2

Despite the offensive woes in Duval, Evan Engram has put together back-to-back productive fantasy outputs. He is averaging at least 7.5 targets per game since Week 6 and has 24 total receptions in that span for 218 yards and a touchdown. The Vikings are strong against tight ends, but the TE position is weak across the league, and Engram can be treated as TE2.
