Denver Broncos
Quarterback
Bo Nix: Sit, QB2
Bo Nix has had a solid rookie campaign and sits as the QB8 on the season right now. He has been a weapon when using his leagues, and that has created a fantasy football steal in 2024. Still, this week, he faces one of the strongest defenses he has played all year in the Chiefs. Kansas City has been able to stop the run and the pass for most of the season, and that will be tough sledding for Nix, who does not have a ton of skill players to help him move the ball down the field. I expect Nix to be headed towards another sub 250 yard passing game while adding in a couple of turnovers in Week 10.
Running Back
Javonte Williams: FLEX Option, RB3
I think that calling Williams even a FLEX option this week may be generous. The Chiefs have allowed the least points to opposing running backs this season, and Williams has been woefully inefficient all season long. Luckily, the Chiefs haven’t been the high-octane offense we have grown accustomed to, so he may not be game scripted out of this one too early, especially with the Broncos’ strong defense. Expect Javonte to see his 15 touches as he fights to eclipse the 50-yard mark once again. There has been talk of Audric Estime also getting more involved. He is not on the fantasy radar, but it may limit Williams’ ceiling even further.
Wide Receiver
Courtland Sutton: FLEX Option, WR3
Courtland Sutton has been on something of a heater the last few weeks. Unfortunately for him, in Week 10, he faces a Chiefs defense that is among the toughest against opposing wide receivers, allowing a league-low in receiving yards to wide receivers, according to Yahoo Sports. In a game where I expect the Broncos to struggle, Sutton may see enough volume to warrant FLEX consideration, but expecting much more than that would be taking a double dose of Hopium.
Tight End
Sit All
The tight ends for the Broncos are a mess to navigate. Don’t bother with them in dynasty or redraft leagues.
Kansas City Chiefs
Quarterback
Patrick Mahomes: Sit, QB2
A call that has become far too familiar for the league’s best signal caller, Pat Mahomes should not be in your starting lineups this week. Coming off of his best fantasy performance of the season and his only time in the top 10 at the position (QB4), Mahomes faces a tough Denver defense in Week 10. It is one of the more talked about situations in fantasy football right now, but the Chiefs just do not need to rely on Mahomes’ arm right now to win games. He does have a strong stretch of games coming from Weeks 12-16, but if you are rostering him, Week 10 has some better options for you.
Running Back
Kareem Hunt: Start, RB2
Kareem Hunt‘s return to Kansas City has been an enormous boost to fantasy rosters. He is averaging 18.25 FPPG in his last four games, and while he has been inefficient, to say the least, he is functioning as the team’s workhorse running back right now. In his last four games, Hunt has seen 28 opportunities twice and has never fallen below 22. The Broncos defense is not an easy matchup, but Hunt may still be the best way for the Chiefs to run their offense and control the game. It is old-school smash-mouth football, but it is working, and I doubt we will see Andy Reid stray away from this game plan for the foreseeable future. The more exciting news for Hunt managers is that after Week 10, he will face 3 of the league’s bottom five defenses against the run this season, and that could be a fantasy gold mine for those fighting for a playoff spot.
Wide Receiver
DeAndre Hopkins: FLEX Option, WR3
Xavier Worthy: Sit
Well, I don’t know if we have ever seen DeAndre Hopkins this happy during his NFL career. He has had some of the worst Quarterback play during his career of any elite wide receiver, and to pair him with Mahomes feels like a bit of a reward for his suffering. In his first week with the team, he was able to hit pay dirt TWICE. His debut was incredible and showed us some signs of life that, frankly, we haven’t seen from Hopkins in a very long time. The truth is Hop is probably going to be a much more valuable NFL player than he is going to be a fantasy player going forward. That is not to say he shouldn’t flirt with WR2 production in a few games, but that should not be your expectation, and in Week 10, he falls even out of that range as he faces Pat Surtain and company. The volume should still be there, but I would expect more of a FLEX or WR3 type of week out of the veteran. Not to mention that the Chiefs aren’t likely to need Hopkins to do much to get the W. The same goes for the other wide receivers of the Chiefs. I expect this to be a Kelce game among the pass catchers, and Worthy will need a big play to register anything of value for your fantasy teams.
Tight End
Travis Kelce: Start, TE1
Travis Kelce has been running hot the last two weeks, bringing in 24 receptions for 190 yards and a score. I expect Andy Reid to feed their star tight end once again in Week 10, avoiding testing Pat Surtain when they don’t have to. Kelce comes in as my TE3 on the week, and even in a tough matchup, the Chiefs and the Swifties out there should be excited for Kelce’s final stretch of games. He should be a locked and loaded top five tight end up until the fantasy playoffs, at least.
