New York Giants
Quarterback
Daniel Jones: Sit
We don’t need to spend much time here. Jones has struggled massively since losing Andrew Thomas. He is barely in consideration in 2QB leagues because of the soft matchup but can otherwise be ignored in Week 10.
Running Back
Tyrone Tracy Jr.: Start, RB1
Tracy has given us a bit of a rollercoaster for fantasy production since taking over the lead back role for the Giants. The good news is that in that time, his tape has looked incredibly impressive. Tracy navigates space well and runs with patience and the ability to hit top speed quickly. He has averaged over 5 yards per carry in those games, compiling 83 yards per game. In Week 10, we may still see Tracy’s best performance yet. He faces the Panthers, who allow the most fantasy points to opposing running backs. I expect Tracy to be an RB1 for the third time this season and the third time in his last six games.
Wide Receiver
Malik Nabers: Start, WR1
Wan’Dale Robinson: FLEX Option, WR3
Nabers continues to be a target hog, reaching 11 targets for the fifth time this season in his seven games played. He has yet to fall below seven targets this season, and that trend should continue. The loss of Andrew Thomas (Giants LT) has proven to be an enormous blow to Nabers’ production and his ability to post the incredible numbers managers saw in the first few weeks of the season. The Giants offense will continue to struggle as Daniel Jones runs for his life most weeks and is just not an NFL-caliber Quarterback. Luckily for those managers in full point or even half point PPR, Nabers’ value will continue to be floated by volume. He is a WR2 with upside every week, and in Week 10, the upside is palpable. The Panthers have been one of the top defenses against fantasy wide receivers this season, but that is a combination of teams not needing to pass and the talent of cornerback Jaycee Horn. Horn may shadow Nabers in this one, but that shouldn’t scare you away from the rookie pass catcher. I expect Nabers to make a trip to the end zone in this one, and he comes in as my WR9 on the week. Wan’Dale Robinson is the other Viable option this week, assuming you are playing in a full PPR league. Robinson has had a few down weeks but is still averaging over eight targets per game. In a matchup that provides little to be worried about defensively, Robinson is a nice WR3 or FLEX Play.
Tight End
Theo Johnson: Sit
Last week, Theo Johnson had the best game of his young career, posting 51 yards and a touchdown on six targets. The production will be volatile, but Johnson is not a bad desperation play if you are down a tight end due to bye weeks. He is more of a dynasty play beyond that.
Carolina Panthers
Quarterback
Bryce Young: Sit
You are better off ignoring the Panthers Quarterback, no matter who it is at this point.
Running Back
Chuba Hubbard: Start, RB2
Jonathon Brooks: FLEX Option, RB3
Chuba Hubbard has seen some very strong weeks this season, currently sitting as the RB9 on the year. The return of rookie Jonathon Brooks does become a major obstacle for Hubbard the rest of the way, though. Brooks will likely be slowly ramped up, especially in his first game action of his NFL career. That being said, his involvement at all will limit Hubbards playing time, making them both low-end RB2 or even RB3 options. I don’t mind rolling out Hubbard this week with tempered expectations and probably more of a 60% snap share, and Brooks is an okay upside FLEX play if you are in a bind.
Wide Receiver
Xavier Legette: FLEX Option, WR3
Jalen Coker: Sit
The Panthers’ wide receivers have shown flashes and have some decent peripherals that bode well for their future. That being said, I am not confident rolling either out in a beatable matchup. Both land outside my top 30 wide receivers this week, with a trip to the red zone the only real opportunity for them to have a strong performance. Dynasty managers can be excited about both players, but in redraft, they are better left on your bench in most cases.
Tight End
Ja’Tavion Sanders: Sit, TE2
I have Sanders as a sit this week, but I felt it was necessary to list that he falls just outside my TE1s on the week and in a tier that goes as high as the TE9. The matchup is less than ideal, but the chemistry with Bryce Young is there, and Sanders has had a mid-season emergence as one of the top options on this offense. He was able to bring in four of his five targets last week for nearly 90 yards. Sanders has the frame we look for when evaluating fantasy football assets at the position, and in an offense desperate for playmakers, he could continue to be an important option in the offense.
