Location: MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ

Network: CBS

Cleveland Browns

Quarterback

Dillon Gabriel: SIT

Running Back

Quinshon Judkins: START, RB1
Dylan Sampson: BORDERLINE FLEX
Jerome Ford: SIT

There have been three separate running backs to rush over 100 yards against the Jets in the past two weeks. They also allow the third most fantasy points to running backs this season. But wait! There’s more! The Jets are calling it a season and traded away two of their best players on the defensive side of the ball, CB Sauce Gardner and DT Quinnen Williams. To the delight of Quinshon Judkins’ fantasy managers, Williams happened to be not only the best run stopper on the Jets, but he’s arguably one of the top in the league. Judkins was battling a shoulder injury before the bye, but was expected to practice on Wednesday at the time of writing. I expect him to suit up, and if he does, he’s an RB1 who should shred the post-trade-deadline Jets. Dylan Sampson is a desperation FLEX play if you’re looking for a warm body with a good matchup.

Wide Receiver

Jerry Jeudy: SIT
Isaiah Bond: SIT
Cedric Tillman…?: SIT

Cedric Tillman was designated to return from IR, but that doesn’t really matter (at least for fantasy, I’m happy for Mr. Tillman). As long as Gabriel is the man under center for the Cleveland Browns, none of Tillman, Jerry Jeudy, or Isaiah Bond should be anywhere near your starting lineup. Even if there’s a fire.

Tight End

Harold Fannin Jr.: START, TE1
David Njoku: STREAMER

The only Cleveland pass catchers I’m interested in for fantasy purposes are the dynamic tight end duo of Harold Fannin Jr. and David Njoku. In the four games started by Gabriel, the pair has accounted for over 35% of the team’s targets and 100% of the passing touchdowns (four). The Jets come into the game allowing the 12th fewest points to the position, but that was pre-firesale. Both Fannin and Njoku are startable, with the rook the preferred option.

Defense/Special Teams

Cleveland Browns: START

The Browns are holding their opponents to 276.9 yards of total offense per game, second-lowest to only the Texans. They face either Justin Fields or Tyrod Taylor. lolz.

New York Jets

Quarterback

Justin Fields: SIT, QB2 (Startable in Superflex)
Tyrod Taylor: SIT

At the time of writing, the Jets had yet to announce who would be their starter for their Week 10 matchup against the Browns. If it winds up being Justin Fields, he’s an option for Superflex leagues simply because of his rushing upside. If they turn to Tyrod Taylor, I want no part of him for fantasy facing Cleveland.

Running Back

Breece Hall: START, RB2
Isaiah Davis: SIT

Breece Hall had his best performance of the season heading into the bye, rushing for 133 yards and two touchdowns against the Bengals in what could have (and should have) been his last game with Gang Green. Hall’s hopes of being moved reportedly rose after the trades of Gardner and Williams, but the Jets chose to hang onto the back despite his expiring contract and an offer of a fourth rounder.

With the Jets going nowhere and Hall’s contract situation, there could be some concern of a late-season “injury” popping up that keeps him off the field for the last few games. (Nothing but speculation at this point). The Browns have shut down the run this season, allowing the second fewest points to the position. If Hall’s active, he’s starting for your fantasy team. But keep your expectations in check against Cleveland.

Wide Receiver

Garrett Wilson: START, WR2
Other Jets WRs: SIT

After missing the past two games, Garrett Wilson returned to Jets practice on Wednesday and is expected to suit up against Cleveland. He’ll see enough volume no matter who’s under center to be considered a high-end WR2, but his upside would get a bump if it were Taylor under center. Do not consider any other Jets receiver for fantasy. If your choices were: (A) start a Jets receiver not named Garrett Wilson or (B): literally anything else, choose (B).

Tight End

Mason Taylor: STREAMER

As the only other viable pass catcher on the Jets, Mason Taylor should see enough volume to be considered a streamer against the Browns, even with the return of Garret Wilson. The Browns don’t give up much to the tight end position, but Taylor could finish with double digits if he’s able to get in the end zone.

Defense/Special Teams

New York Jets: SIT

This pretty much says it all.
