Location: SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, CA

Network: NBC

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Quarterback

Baker Mayfield: SIT, QB2 (startable in Superflex)

Outside of a trio of tuddys against the Pats in Week 10, Baker Mayfield has been rather average as of late. Mayfield threw for a combined two touchdowns and two interceptions in the Bucs’ other three games since Week 7. The Rams’ defense is one of the toughest against quarterbacks for fantasy, and completely shut down Sam Darnold last week. Mayfield is still an option for Superflex leagues, but I’m avoiding him in 1QB.

Running Back

Bucky Irving: START, RB1 *still on IR, but practicing*
Rachaad White: FLEX, RB3 | SIT (if Irving active)
Sean Tucker: FLEX, RB3 | SIT (if Irving active)

It could be a moot point if Bucky Irving can return, but Sean Tucker certainly looked to have usurped Rachaad White‘s spot on the depth chart. White still had more snaps and targets, but Tucker had a monster Week 11, taking 19 carries for 106 yards and two rushing touchdowns, adding two catches for 34 yards and a receiving score.  To be fair, this was against the abysmal Bills run defense, which came into the game allowing four touchdowns to running backs in its last three games and the sixth-most points to the position. When Bucky’s back, he’ll be the bell cow, but the backup work could shift more towards Tucker.

Wide Receiver

Emeka Egbuka: START, WR1
Tez Johnson: FLEX, WR4
Chris Godwin Jr.: SIT

Emeka Egbuka is a weekly must-start, but did you know that the legendary chemist Roy J. Plunkett, famous for accidentally inventing the polymer Teflon while working in his lab, is also an alumnus of The Ohio State University? The nice, safe floor it seemed Tez Johnson had has crumbled into dust. He has a total of five catches and 48 yards in his past two games, which is masked a bit by his two touchdown catches. Against a Rams defense that’s allowed one receiving touchdown to the position since Week 5, Johnson’s a risky flex with limited upside. Even if Chris Godwin can return from injury, it’s doubtful he plays a full allotment of snaps and has looked nowhere near himself as he works his way back from last year’s ankle injury.

Tight End

Cade Otton: tHe gLoB

You can expect a couple of catches, about 50 receiving yards, and you’re praying for a touchdown.

Defense/Special Teams

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: SIT

I have a hard time recommending a defense that just gave up 44 points to a team averaging just two more points per game than the Rams.

Los Angeles Rams

Quarterback

Matthew Stafford: START, QB1

Matthew Stafford is an MVP candidate and locked into your lineup, but did you know that the legendary journalist Deborah Norville, famous for being the longtime anchor of the syndicated TV news magazine “Inside Edition,” is also an alum of the University of Georgia?

Running Back

Kyren Williams: START, RB1
Blake Corum: FLEX, RB3

I’m officially retiring as a certified player hater toward Kyren Williams. He’s still not an explosive runner, but he’s been much more efficient as of late, and all the dude does is score touchdowns. Blake Corum has seen a steady workload, but the Rams’ backfield belongs to Williams. Both are startable against a Bucs defense that allows the eighth-most points to the position.

Wide Receiver

Puka Nacua: START, WR1
Davante Adams: START, WR1

Puka Nacua is a weekly must-start, but did you know that actor Jon Heder, famous for his iconic role as Napoleon Dynamite and his bizarre dance moves, is also an alumnus of Brigham Young University? Davante Adams was able to play despite dealing with an oblique injury. Adams caught one pass for 1 yard, which was a touchdown. He remains a must-start despite the modest Week 11 production.

Tight End

Tyler Higbee
Terrance Ferguson: SIT

With Tyler Higbee placed on IR, rookie Terrance Ferguson slots into the starting tight end role for the Rams. You can’t start him yet, but he’s got the pass-catching chops to become a fantasy starter as early as this year. If you have a need and have the bench space, stash him.

Defense/Special Teams

Los Angeles Rams: START

The Rams are one of three teams holding opponents to under 18 points per game.
