Game at a Glance

The Colts’ start to the season has shocked even their biggest fans, becoming the first team in NFL history to score on all of their first 10 possessions. The Titans have scored one touchdown, albeit against stout defenses in the Broncos and Rams.

Indianapolis Colts

Quarterback

Daniel Jones: START, QB1

I considered a bounce-back season for Daniel Jones more realistic than most, but even I didn’t expect him to play this well. Jones has five total touchdowns through two games, and his 588 passing yards rank second to *checks notes* Russell Wilson. It’s not an overreaction, considering there’s no Joe Burrow, Brock Purdy, Justin Fields, and, more than likely, Jayden Daniels this week. “Indiana Jones” is a QB1 and borderline must-start. Why do I feel the urge to go take a shower after typing that?

Running Back

Jonathan Taylor: START, RB1
Dj Giddens: SIT

Even with Daniel Jones’ thieving touchdowns and goal-line carries, Jonathan Taylor cemented his status as the Colts’ RB1, keeping him among the company of fantasy RB1s. Facing a Titans defense that has allowed 5.1 yards per carry and the 10th most fantasy points to opposing backs, Taylor could push for a top-five week.

Wide Receiver

Michael Pittman Jr.: START, WR2
Alec Pierce: SIT
Josh Downs: SIT

The only Colts receiver you can consider a weekly starter in most scenarios is Michael Pittman Jr. I know the people love Josh Downs, and it was encouraging to see him get eight targets in Week 2, but Tyler Warren‘s rise has pushed Downs down (I’m not even sorry) in the pecking order. Downs, Alec Pierce, and AD Mitchell will have FLEX-worthy games from time to time, but good luck guessing when they’ll occur.

Tight End

Tyler Warren: START, TE1

Per my good friend Michael F. Florio of NFL Network, Tyler Warren is virtually tied with Brock Bowers‘ record-breaking start to last season.

He’s the apple to Jones’ eye in this offense, rocking with a delicious 18.8% target share through two games. Warren has quickly risen to must-start tight end status.

Defense/Special Teams

Indianapolis Colts: START

If you’re ever in need of a D/ST to start, just find who plays the Titans. Tennessee is the lone team yet to score more than one offensive touchdown this season.

Tennessee Titans

Quarterback

Cam Ward: SIT

Which happens first, Cam Ward becomes remotely worthy of consideration for starting in Fantasy, or Arch Manning gets drafted?

Running Back

Tony Pollard: FLEX, RB3

Tony Pollard‘s volume keeps him on the fantasy radar, but the Titans’ turrible *Charles Barkley voice* offense caps him as nothing more than a FLEX.

Wide Receiver

Elic Ayomanor: FLEX, WR5
Calvin Ridley: FLEX, WR4
Tyler Lockett: SIT

The stellar play of Elic Ayomanor has put the brakes on the Calvin Ridley hype train for the time being. The hope was that Ridley’s big play ability could make up for the poor offense, but Ayomanor has gobbled up 41% of the team’s air yards and nibbling at the heels of Ridley’s 23% target share at 21.3. Both are volatile FLEX options.

Tight End

Chig Okonkwo: SIT

Yet to break double-digit fantasy points on the young season, Chig isn’t a consideration for your lineup until the Titans offense picks it up. If that ever happens.

Defense/Special Teams

Tennessee Titans: SIT

The Titans D/ST is averaging two turnovers a game, but is not currently in consideration to start.
