Game at a Glance

The Cowboys’ passing offense bounced back in a big way to take down the Giants in OT, and the Bears … well … they’re still the Bears.

Dallas Cowboys

Quarterback

Dak Prescott: START, QB1

Going into the fourth quarter, Dak Prescott had 174 yards and one touchdown. From that point on, Dak went 15/20 for 187 yards and one TD in the Cowboys’ overtime win over the Giants. He looked solid overall, but I still feel like he’s a better real-life QB than fantasy at this point in his career. Don’t hear what I’m not saying, or better yet, don’t read what I’m not writing. Dak is still a very good fantasy quarterback, but I don’t think he has the top-five ceiling that many still do. But facing the Bears, the best fantasy matchup for oppsing quarterbacks? He’s a top-five option this week. Start him in all formats.

Running Back

Javonte Williams: START, RB2
Miles Sanders: SIT

I was not impressed with Javonte Williams after Week 1 and a paltry 3.6 yards per carry, but Week 2 was a different story. Williams looked like his pre-injury self for the first time in over a year. He broke multiple tackles on a beautiful 30-yard TD run in the third.  Playing over 70% of snaps in both games this season, Williams has 43 combined attempts and targets and three TDs. He’s locked in as an RB2.

Wide Receiver

CeeDee Lamb: START, WR1
George Pickens: START, WR3
Jalen Tolbert: SIT

You don’t need me to tell you to start CeeDee Lamb. But did you know his biggest pet peeve is when people smack their food when eating? (I’m with you, CeeDee!) It was encouraging to see nine targets for George Pickens, but Dak won’t throw the ball 52 times a game. His values remain unchanged.

Tight End

Jake Ferguson: START, TE1

Averaging nine targets over the first two games of the season, Jake Ferguson is a solid TE1 for fantasy purposes.

Defense/Special Teams

Dallas Cowboys: SIT

I have a hard time recommending starting a defense giving up over 30 points per game.

Chicago Bears

Quarterback

Caleb Williams: START, QB1

Caleb Williams had a near carbon copy performance in Week 2. He looked great in the first half, but fell apart after halftime. He’s shown me enough to maintain my belief that by the end of the season, Ben Johnson can fix him. Must start in Superflex and starting most weeks in 1QB. Fire him up against a Dallas defense that just allowed Russell Wilson to throw for 450 yards.

Running Back

D’Andre Swift: FLEX, RB3
Kyle Monangai: SIT
Roschon Johnson: SIT

D’Andre Swift scored his first touchdown of the season in Week 2, and has a solid chance of making in two in a row against a Dallas defense tied with the Steelers and Giants for the most rushing touchdowns allowed with four.

Wide Receiver

Rome Odunze: START, WR2
DJ Moore: START, WR3
Olamide Zaccheaus: SIT

Luther Burden III: SIT

Through two weeks, DJ Moore is being out-targeted by Olamide Zaccheaus 12 to 11. Rome Odunze has 20 over the same period, and it seems to be operating as the Bears’ WR1. If the volume continues, it could push for high-end WR2 status.

Tight End

Cole Kmet: SIT
Colston Loveland: SIT

Neither Cole Kmet or Colston Loveland are start-worthy in fantasy.

Defense/Special Teams

Chicago Bears: SIT

I have a hard time recommending starting a defense giving up over 30 points per game. (Yes, I did copy and paste. My point still stands.)
