Game at a Glance

Coming off a combined 93 points scored in Week 2, will we see video game numbers on “Monday Night Football”?

Detroit Lions

Quarterback

Jared Goff: START, Borderline QB1

Week 1’s implosion was probably a combination of Jared Goff playing outdoors and his documented struggles in Lambeau Field and the Packers’ defense being really, really good. The offense has a similar ceiling as the last few years, but the floor is much lower.

Running Back

Jahmyr Gibbs: START, RB1
David Montgomery: START, RB2

You don’t need me to tell you to start Jahmyr Gibbs. But did you know his favorite athlete is Jon “Bones” Jones? David Montgomery played much better in Week 2 and was able to score his first touchdown of the season. Monty is a solid RB2 against Baltimore, which is allowing the seventh-most fantasy points to opposing running backs.

Wide Receiver

Amon-Ra St. Brown: START, WR1
Jameson Williams: START, WR3
Isaac TeSlaa: SIT

Amon-Ra St. Brown shut my talk of him dropping to the WR2 tier real quick. ARSB caught nine passes on 11 targets for 115 yards and THREE TUDDYS. Jameson Williams had the most Jamo statline ever: two catches for 108 yards and a touchdown. Here’s your weekly incredible Isaac TeSlaa catch.

Tight End

Sam LaPorta: START, TE1

Sam LaPorta is starting for you pretty much weekly, but I’ll stop short of calling him a must-start. But facing a Ravens defense that allows the second-most fantasy points to the tight end position? Yeah. He’s a must-start.

Defense/Special Teams

Detroit Lions: SIT

Against Lamar Jackson? And Derrick Henry? In this economy?

Baltimore Ravens

Quarterback

Lamar Jackson: START, QB1

You don’t need me to tell you to start Lamar Jackson. But did you know he made his acting debut on “Power Book III: Raising Kanan,” playing the character E-Tone?

Running Back

Derrick Henry: START, RB1
Justice Hill: SIT

You don’t need me to tell you to start Derrick Henry. But did you know his favorite athlete of all time is Kobe Bryant?

Wide Receiver

Zay Flowers: START, WR1
DeAndre Hopkins: FLEX, WR5

Rashod Bateman: SIT

Despite not coming down with one of Jackson’s four touchdown passes, Zay Flowers is still the Ravens’ WR1. He’s locked in as a WR2 with upside. DeAndre Hopkins has replaced Rashod Bateman as the Ravens’ volatile FLEX receiver you’re hoping for a touchdown from.

Tight End

Mark Andrews: SIT

Totaling 2.9 points on the season, you can’t start Mark Andrews.

Defense/Special Teams

Baltimore Ravens: SIT

I have a hard time recommending starting a defense allowing (almost) 30 points per game.
