Game at a Glance
Two of the best pass defenses in the league face off in a playoff rematch. Both teams come into the game undefeated, but will the Eagles’ struggles through the air cause them their first loss?
Los Angeles Rams
Quarterback
Matthew Stafford: SIT
Although his back is a ticking time bomb, Matthew Stafford has put up solid numbers this season, getting to throw to Puka Nacua and Davante Adams. Shocking, I know. Considering the matchup, I’d much prefer to keep Stafford on the bench. But you may not have a choice, considering all the quarterbacks we lost this weekend. He’s a fine Superflex start and injury replacement if you were one of the unlucky ones.
Running Back
Kyren Williams: START, RB2
Blake Corum: SIT
Jarquez Hunter: SIT
Kyren Williams is maintaing nearly 70% of the Rams’ rushing attempts, but Blake Corum could eat into that total. My gripe with Williams has always been his efficiency, and that hasn’t changed. His 3.77 yards per carry ranks 17th among the 29 running backs with at least 20 carries this season. Corum has only six carries on the season, but ripped a 30-yard run in Week 2 and got the goal-line work a week after Williams struggled to punch it in. The Eagles have allowed the fewest fantasy points to running backs this season, and while his volume keeps him in your lineups, the matchup and potential of losing touches place him in RB2 range.
Wide Receiver
Puka Nacua: START, WR1
Davante Adams: START, WR2
Tutu Atwell: SIT
You don’t need me to tell you to start Puka Nacua. But did you know his top three favorite anime series are “One-Punch Man,” “Dragon Ball Z” and “Avatar: The Last Airbender”? Davante Adams is tied with Puka with 20 targets apiece, and Adams leads the Rams with five red-zone targets. He’s a high-end WR2 with potential to finish as the WR1 on any given Sunday. Or Monday. Or Thursday. Sometimes Friday and occasionally Saturday.
Tight End
Tyler Higbee: SIT

Defense/Special Teams
Los Angeles Rams: STREAMER
The Rams have allowed just one passing touchdown, and their eight sacks are the second-most to league-leading New England. They’ve held their opponents to a league-best 14 points per game.
Philadelphia Eagles
Quarterback
Jalen Hurts: START, QB1
The scenario we’ve seen unfold over the first two weeks of the season in Philadelphia is exactly the reason I hesitated to add Jalen Hurts to the elite fantasy quarterback tier. His lack of passing upside makes him entirely reliant on his rushing production. But the offense has taken a step back from last season, and he rushed for just 15 yards against the Chiefs, his worst rushing total since Week 8 of the 2023 season (excluding Week 18 2023). Don’t get me wrong, he has three rushing touchdowns through two games and remains a must-start. But he’s gently floating towards borderline QB1 status until we see the Eagles offense of old.
Running Back
Saquon Barkley: START, RB1
Will Shipley: SIT
A.J. Dillon: SIT
Tank Bigsby: : SIT
You don’t need me to tell you to start Saquon Barkely, but did you know his two favorite athletes of all time are Kobe Bryant and Barry Sanders?
Wide Receiver
A.J. Brown: START, WR2
Devonta Smith: START, WR3
Jahan Dotson: SIT
The Eagles made a conscious effort to get A.J. Brown involved after his single target in Week 1, peppering him with eight targets against the Chiefs. But as the passing game struggles continued, the increased volume amounted to five catches for 27 yards. He’s still an elite talent, and I do believe the passing game will see better days, but it seems Brown will be a much more volatile fantasy asset than we anticipated. Devonta Smith hasn’t started the season much better, totaling seven catches for 69 yards over the Eagles’ first two games. The Rams have been among the most difficult fantasy matchups for receivers this season, so while you’re still starting both, they both drop a tier from their usual ranks.
Tight End
Dallas Goedert: STREAMER
Dallas Goedert missed Week 2, but seven targets in the season opener automatically get him streamer status.
Defense/Special Teams
Philadelphia Eagles: STREAMER
Like the Rams, the Eagles have allowed just one passing touchdown on the season.
