Baltimore Ravens
Quarterback
Lamar Jackson: START, QB1
You don’t need me to tell you to start Lamar Jackson. But did you know he founded a restaurant, Play Action Soulfood and More, in his hometown of Pompano Beach, Florida?
Running Back
Derrick Henry: START, RB1
You don’t need me to tell you to start Derrick Henry. But did you know his “King Henry” nickname was given to him by former Alabama teammate and NFL running back Mark Ingram II?
Wide Receiver
Zay Flowers: START, WR1
Rashod Bateman: FLEX, WR5
DeAndre Hopkins: FLEX, WR5
I’m not concerned about the quiet game from Zay Flowers in Week 3. He’s been a volatile player his entire career. If you drafted him, you have to be OK with the bust weeks that come with the boom. In a game with an implied total pushing 50, Flowers has a great chance to boom against Kansas City. The same can be said for Rashod Bateman, but a lot more bust and not as much boom. DeAndre Hopkins is seeing just two targets a game and is nothing more than a desperation flex play.
Tight End
Mark Andrews: STREAMER
After being benched in nearly every league and dropped in some, Mark Andrews blew up Week 3 against Detroit to the tune of six catches on six targets for 91 yards and two touchdowns. With the return of Isaiah Likely imminent and his inconsistency, you can’t trust Andrews every week. But the game was a nice reminder of what he’s capable of, but he’s a risky start regardless of the matchup.
Defense/Special Teams
Baltimore Ravens: SIT
I can’t in good conscience recommend starting a defense in fantasy football that’s allowing over 30 points per game.
Kansas City Chiefs
Quarterback
Patrick Mahomes: START, QB1
Patrick Mahomes has yet to throw for multiple touchdowns in a single game this season, but that likely changes against the Ravens. Baltimore has allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks, albeit heavily skewed by Josh Allen‘s dominant four-touchdown performance in Week 1. But this game has shootout written all over it, and Mahomes has never had a four-game streak of one or fewer touchdown passes. He’s due.
Running Back
Isiah Pacheco: SIT
Kareem Hunt: SIT
Isiah Pacheco and Kareem Hunt are splitting work and killing both their fantasy values. If they couldn’t put up a solid performance and a Giants defense bleeding fantasy points to running backs, neither is startable.
Wide Receiver
Xavier Worthy: START, WR2
Hollywood Brown:: FLEX, WR4
Tyquan Thornton: SIT
Juju Smith-Schuster: SIT
If Xavier Worthy returns, he slots right back in as a WR2 in a potential high-scoring game, and Hollywood Brown would be a flex. If Worthy is out, Brown would jump to WR3 status with a low floor but week-winning upside.
Tight End
Travis Kelce: START, borderline TE1
Travis Kelce is still seeing a decent amount of targets, but not doing anything with them. He’s a low-end TE1 based on volume. Baltimore is a top-10 matchup for TEs, so there’s a chance we see some vintage Kelce this week.
Defense/Special Teams
Kansas City Chiefs: SIT
The Chiefs’ defense has only has two turnovers this season, both Russell Wilson interceptions. So those don’t really count.
