Location: Lambeau Field, Green Bay, WI

Network: AMZN

Atlanta Falcons

Quarterback

Michael Penix Jr.: SIT

The fantasy gods have shown mercy on Atlanta by finally getting Cooper Rush out of the starting lineup. Penix still has a faint heartbeat of upside left, but as volatile as he’s been, Penix is nothing more than a stash-and-hold in Superflex leagues. The Packers held opposing offenses under 200 passing yards over the first two weeks of the season.

Running Back

Bijan Robinson: START, RB1
Brian Robinson: SIT

You’re obviously starting Bijan Robinson. If he were a Disney World ride, he’d be “Test Track”: Still relatively new compared to his peers, built on speed, runs as smooth as butter, and is still somehow wildly underrated.

Wide Receiver

Drake London: START, WR2
Jahan Dotson: SIT
Olamide Zaccheaus: SIT

The volume is there for Drake London, but not much else. He’s pushing a 20% target share, but averaging just three catches and 40ish yards with the dumpster fire of a quarterback situation the Falcons have found themselves in. London’s talent alone keeps him in the WR2 range, and if Penix can bring some consistency to the pass game, even just a teeny weeny bit, London can again push for that borderline WR1 range. The matchup against the Packers isn’t ideal, with Green Bay allowing the 2nd fewest yards per catch in the league.

Tight End

Kyle Pitts Sr: STREAMER

A year after Kyle Pitts finally arrived, he’s averaging less than two fantasy points per game heading into Week 3. As always, the upside is enormous, and his athleticism and explosiveness keep him streamable pretty much every week, but you have to be ok with eating a goose egg. I completely understand if you want to look elsewhere this week, but don’t drop him yet if you can help it.

Defense/Special Teams

Atlanta Falcons: SIT

I apologize to real defenses everywhere for me besmirching their names by calling the Falcons a real defense last week.

Green Bay Packers

Quarterback

Jordan Love: START, Superflex QB2

The Jordan Love experience is quite the ride so far this season. He’s averaging a respectable 266 passing yards and two passing touchdowns per game over the first two weeks and throwing the ball at least 25 times a game, but he’s not looked particularly good. But after a cake matchup in Week 1 against the Steelers, Atlanta was thrashed by Bryce Young and the Panthers to the tune of 287 passing yards and three passing touchdowns. He was dealing with some elbow pain during the Jets game, but it appears to be a non-issue. Love is a fine Superflex start and not a bad option in 1QB leagues for those who lost a starter in Week 2.

Running Back

MarShawn Lloyd: SIT
Chris Brooks: SIT

Kaleb Johnson: SIT

MarShawn Lloyd was the official “starter” against the Jets and got into the end zone, but the game couldn’t have gone any worse when considering his long-term fantasy value. Lloyd played just 27% of snaps, fewer than Chris Brooks and tied with Kaleb Johnson. It’s a mouthwatering matchup against Atlanta, but this backfield is a complete fade for me with the minimal production split between three mediocre players.

Wide Receiver

Christian Watson: START, WR2
Matthew Golden: START, WR3
Jayden Reed: OUT

Prayers up for Jayden Reed, who suffered a scary neck injury and had to be carted off the field. There’s a real chance he will miss the rest of the season. Which leaves the once-overcrowded Packers receiver room down to pretty much Christian Watson and Matthew Golden. The duo hauled in four catches each against the Jets, with Watson coming down with his third touchdown of the season and Golden leading the team in receiving yards for the game. The Packers have one of the highest pass rates in the league so far, and the Falcons have allowed the seventh most passing yards this season. Both are great starts this week, with Watson the unquestioned alpha and touchdown machine.

Tight End

Tucker Kraft: START, TE1

Atlanta has given up 15+ fantasy points in consecutive weeks to Pat Friermuth and Darren Waller. ‘Nuff said.

Defense/Special Teams

Green Bay Packers: START

Atlanta has scored a total of 16 points through two games.
