Kickoff: Sunday, September 27, 2026, 5:00 PM ET

Location: Hard Rock Stadium, Miami Gardens, FL

Network: CBS

Kansas City Chiefs

Quarterback

Patrick Mahomes: START, QB1

Top five in pass attempts, passing yards, and passing touchdowns per game. What gets me all hot and bothered is that Patrick Mahomes is tied with Josh Allen for the most red zone rush attempts for quarterbacks. He’s back.

Running Back

Kenneth Walker: START, RB1
Emmett Johnson: SIT

One more week of elite production and Kenneth Walker will enter “Fun Fact/Start ’em Sort ’em” territory. Averaging 20+ carries and eight targets per game so far. A yards per carry and explosive run rate over six, 100% of the team’s carries inside the five, number one in missed tackles forced per attempt, and number two in yards after contact per attempt. Not gonna lie, my pants got a little tighter just typing that out. He’s my RB1 this week, and if he’s able to stay healthy all season, he could be on track for legendary fantasy production the likes of LaDainian Tomlinson in his prime.

Wide Receiver

Rashee Rice: START, WR2
Tyquan Thornton: SIT
Xavier Worthy: FLEX, WR4

Xavier Worthy leads the team in targets per game, Rashee Rice leads the team in fantasy points per game, and Tyquan Thornton plays for the Kansas City Chiefs. Rice will eventually end up with the highest target share, but in a game where the Chiefs shouldn’t have to open up the offense much, Rice is a volatile WR2, and Worthy is worthy of low-end FLEX status.

Tight End

Travis Kelce: START, TE1

Patty’s bff and top target getter, Travis Kelce is locked in as a must-start tight end as long as he’s able to keep up this pace.

Defense/Special Teams

Kansas City Chiefs: START

The Dolphins are a streamer target for most defenses, making the Chiefs an easy start this week.

Miami Dolphins

Quarterback

Malik Willis: SIT, QB2 (Startable in Superflex)

I think my guy Brett Ford says it best when it comes to Malik Bortles Willis: there’s a new king of Garbage Time around these parts. If you’re starting Willis, you’ll head into the fourth quarter with less than 10 fantasy points but somehow wind up pushing 20.

Running Back

De’Von Achane: START, RB2

De’Von Achane is averaging fewer than 12 fantasy points per game despite elite volume and elite talent. He’ll eventually have a game where he breaks a few and scores 20+, but the dire state of the Dolphins offense has him rocking a yards per carry and explosive run rate under four. It’s time to officially reclassify Achane as a volatile RB2.

Wide Receiver

Chris Bell: SIT
Caleb Douglas: SIT
Malik Washington: SIT

Talk to me when the starting quarterback is regularly completing more than 15 pass attempts per game.

Tight End

Greg Dulcich: SIT

Under no circumstances should you start Handsome Squidward “Weird Al” Yankovic.

Defense/Special Teams

Miami Dolphins: SIT

If I recommend starting the Dolphins D/ST even once this season, I will include a picture of me eating a pair of my socks.
