Dallas Cowboys

Quarterback

Dak Prescott: START, QB1

Dak Prescott threw a lone touchdown in the Cowboys’ heartbreaking loss to the Ravens. But Prescott still turned in a fine fantasy performance, tossing over 270 yards for the second straight game and chipping in a bit on the ground as well. Dak is startable every week as long as he’s throwing to CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens. But this week he’s a top-10 option, as the Texans are surprisingly a top-10 fantasy matchup for quarterbacks so far this season.

Running Back

Javonte Williams: START, RB2
Tyler Goodson: SIT
Emari Demercado: SIT

The Texans defense has been a lot friendlier of a fantasy matchup so far in 2026 for the pass game, but not the run. The Texans are allowing the 2nd fewest points to the position and have yet to give up a rushing touchdown. Javonte Williams is locked in as a weekly starter regardless of matchup thanks to his forklift certified workhorse and goal line roles. But unless he’s able to break a big one (top 10 explosive run rate of 7%), Williams could have a disappointing day with his sub-four yards per carry.

Wide Receiver

Ceedee Lamb: START, WR1
George Pickens: START, WR1

Ryan Flournoy: SIT

It’s pretty obvious that you’re starting George Pickens and Ceedee Lamb each and every week. But on the digital Starbucks order, Lamb is the Iced White Chocolate Mocha. The best choice at one of the world’s most popular places. Despite people calling it overrated and overpaid, you don’t mind. You know it’s going to deliver every single time. As for Pickens? When you want to mix it up, the Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso sounds incredible. But the unmatched upside comes with extra risk, because when it hits, it hits. But it has an equal chance of having you questioning your decision by the end of the day. My ranking him a WR1 may give you pause as well, with Pickens failing to surpass 16 points in a game this season. But he has an identical 23.8% target share as Lamb and right behind him in both aDOT and deep targets. The touchdowns will come.

Tight End

Jake Ferguson: SIT

Yay! Jake Ferguson caught a touchdown! But Houston, we have a problem. The Texans don’t give those up (to tight ends – 0 so far this year!). Fergie’s almost four targets per game isn’t enough for him to sniff your lineup.

Defense/Special Teams

Dallas Cowboys: SIT

Nearly 400 yards and 30 points per game allowed.

Houston Texans

Quarterback

C.J. Stroud: SIT, QB2 (Startable in Superflex)

The return of Nico Collins should boost the floor of C.J. Stroud, who hasn’t been that bad. He’s only thrown three touchdowns this season, but has totaled over 600 passing yards in the first two games and chipped in a smidge of rush production as well. Stroud is good to fire up in Superflex formats, and he could work in a pinch in 1QB leagues if you’re the Caleb Williams or Jayden Daniels manager just trying to weather the storm.

Running Back

David Montgomery: START, RB2
Woody Marks: FLEX, RB3

About that Week 1 victory lap I took on David Montgomery. Woof. Granted, I didn’t expect three touchdowns per game, and it’s no surprise he has just one explosive run in 37 attempts. But what’s concerning for Monty’s value is losing goal line carries to Woody Marks. He’s still handling 75%, but if that number starts to dwindle further, their status as RB2 and FLEX plays could flip real quick.

Wide Receiver

Nico Collins: START, WR2
Kayshon Boutte: SIT
Xavier Hutchinson: SIT

Nico Collins missed Weeks 2 and 3 due to a bum hammy, but looks on track to return in Week 4. He was practicing at the time of writing, and if he’s out there, fire him up as his usual borderline WR1/high-end WR2. He would be an easy WR1 in this matchup if I were 100% confident about him having a full workload.

Tight End

Dalton Schultz: STREAMER

Wait. So you’re telling me a guy who had more than 50% of his production in the second-best game of his eight-year career come in the last five minutes of the game in garbage time DIDN’T do it again?

You know where we stand with Schultz. Take it away, Mr. Grimm:

Defense/Special Teams

Houston Texans: START

They’re not playing up to the standard they set last season, but nine sacks and three turnovers in their last two games is a step in the right direction.
