Kansas City Chiefs
Quarterback
Patrick Mahomes: START, QB1
Yeah, yeah, you’re starting him. But let’s get to what really matters. Patrick Mahomes is the Pumpkin Spice Latte. There is no other choice. He’s the face of the franchise. Everybody knows it. Everybody has an opinion on it. You can call it overrated all you want. But you’re still paying attention.
Running Back
Kenneth Walker: START, RB1
Emmett Johnson: SIT
Brashard Smith: SIT
Kenneth Walker III is top three in touches per game, rushing yards per game, targets per game, yards per carry, total touchdowns, and most importantly, fantasy points per game. He’s been fully unlocked by Andy Reid.
Wide Receiver
Rashee Rice: START, WR3
Tyquan Thornton: SIT
Xavier Worthy: SIT
I’d really rather look elsewhere, but with the position taking some major hits early this season, Rashee Rice is a borderline WR2/3 in a matchup with a Raiders team that allows the second-fewest points to the position.
Tight End
Travis Kelce: START, TE1
In possibly his farewell season, Travis Kelce currently sits as the TE2 in points per game and gets the third-best matchup at the position. Last week’s performance was a bit of a mirage with 13.9 points on just 2 targets, but there’s no reason to galaxy brain yourself out of this.
Defense/Special Teams
Kansas City Chiefs: START
The Chiefs defense hasn’t gotten to the quarterback much, but they are tied for sixth-most takeaways per game and fourth-fewest total yards allowed. Kirk Cousins also likes to turn the ball over.
Las Vegas Raiders
Quarterback
Kirk Cousins: SIT
Somehow, some way, Kirk Cousins is tied for the league lead in passing touchdowns at 9. But the Chiefs allow the fewest points to the position, and I’m not risking it.
Running Back
Ashton Jeanty: START, RB1
Mike Washington Jr.: SIT
Dylan Laube: SIT
Ashton Jeanty sits at RB8 on the season even though he’s yet to rush for a touchdown (He caught two in Week 1). He’s handled 80% of the Raiders’ backfield snaps, averaging 21 carries and 5.3 targets per game. Those touchdowns are coming, and Jeanty could be a top-five option before long. While it was #cool to see Mike Washington Jr. score his first career touchdown in Week 3, he received just five carries.
Wide Receiver
Tre Tucker: SIT
Jalen Nailor: SIT
Jack Bech: IR
You have better options than any Raiders receiver. Hopefully. Unless you’re gunning for Jeremiah Smith in 2027. Shoutout to all my tanking Dynasty teams out there!
Tight End
Brock Bowers: START, TE1
Even though he’s still relatively new, you know you’re starting Brock Bowers. Kinda like the Ham & Swiss Croissant at Starbucks. Simple, reliable, and one of the best things on the entire menu. Bowers was immediately a bona fide target hog in his return to action, and there’s no chance you’re sitting him.
Defense/Special Teams
Las Vegas Raiders: SIT
Not against the Chiefs, but I’m not gonna lie. Getting a little worried I’ll have to soufflé some socks soon.
