Green Bay Packers
Quarterback
Jordan Love: SIT, QB2 (Startable in Superflex)
What’s Jordan Love got to do with it? How about despite a gross 52.4% completion percentage, Love ranks fourth in passing yards per game at 281.3. How so? How about throwing the ball more than 40 times per game? He’ll be put to the test against Tampa, who’s holding opposing quarterbacks to the sixth-fewest passing yards per game and has allowed just four passing touchdowns this season.
Running Back
Marshawn Lloyd: SIT
Kaleb Johnson: SIT
Chris Brooks: SIT
We can talk when one of the Packers running backs can muster at least 3.7 yards per carry.
Wide Receiver
Christian Watson: START, WR1
Matthew Golden: START, WR2
Jayden Reed: IR
Christian Watson is making sure the Packers get the value out of every penny they spend on him this offseason. Watson is the WR5 this season, sitting in sixth with 9.7 targets and 95 yards per game. He’s pulled down four touchdowns thanks to his four end zone targets, second most in the league. Matthew Golden is officially breaking out in his sophomore season, averaging 10 targets and 15.4 points per game, handling 38.7 % of the Packers air yards. Tampa is a below-average matchup, but both are locked in as weekly starts as long as these trends continue.
Get well soon, Jayden Reed.
Tight End
Tucker Kraft: TE 1/2 Borderline
The targets are there (5.7 per game); the points will come. The Bucs are a decent matchup for tight ends, so as long as Kraft can overcome his recent bout with “The Dropsies,” this could be a get-right spot for him.
Defense/Special Teams
Green Bay Packers: START
The guy starting at quarterback for the other team scored negative points last week.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Quarterback
Baker Mayfield: OUT
Jalon Daniels: SIT
Undrafted rookie Jalon Daniels came in after Baker Mayfield left with an injured thumb. Daniels went 0/3, threw a pick, and rushed once for nine yards. Negative one point one fantasy points. You tell me if you should start him.
Running Back
Bucky Irving: START, RB1
Kenny Gainwell: SIT
Sean Tucker: SIT
This is Bucky Irving‘s backfield, handling over 60% of the snaps and seeing a surprising five targets per game. The Packers are allowing over 30 fantasy points per game to opposing running backs, unsurprisingly the most in the league. Even with the matchup, we have to see more work out of Kenny Gainwell before we can consider him even a FLEX.
Wide Receiver
Emeka Egbuka: FLEX, WR3
Chris Godwin Jr.: FLEX, WR4
Ted Hurst III: SIT
Jalon Daniels has to complete at least a few passes, right? RIGHT? The Packers have been a top-10 matchup for opposing wide receivers, and that’s really the only hope for these guys.
Tight End
Cade Otton: SIT
Cade gLobton
Defense/Special Teams
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: STREAMER
Tampa is averaging two sacks per game and holding opponents under 300 total yards. The Packers aren’t super terrifying, especially after last week’s floundering performance against the Falcons. But if Daniels makes a few turnovers, things could get ugly quick.
