Cleveland Browns
Quarterback
Deshaun Watson: SIT, QB2 (Startable in Superflex)
Somehow we live in the timeline that in the year of our Lord 2026, Deshaun Watson has the Browns 3-1 and tied for first with the Ravens. But don’t get too cute. Watson has one game with over 250 passing yards and has thrown just one touchdown in two of four. The Jets have also been stingy on giving fantasy points up and touchdowns to quarterbacks, allowing just five scores through the air so far. Watson is an adequate Superflex starter with Young and Mahomes on bye, but nowhere near someone I’m trying to force into my lineup.
Running Back
Quinshon Judkins: START, RB2
Raheim Sanders: SIT
Jaleel McLaughlin: SIT
Quinshon Judkins had his first game over 10 fantasy points this season, but it wasn’t because he ran the ball particularly well. Judkins could only muster 53 rushing yards on 17 carries, but was able to get in the end zone and add six catches on seven targets. I’d be a whole lot more comfortable with him in my FLEX, but the Jets are top 5 in both fantasy points and touchdowns given up to the running back position. If Judkins can maintain that pass-catching role, I’ll feel much better about him as a weekly RB2.
Wide Receiver
Denzel Boston: START, WR3
KC Concepcion Jr: START, WR3
Jerry Jeudy: SIT
The recipe has pretty much stayed the same for Denzel Boston and KC Concepcion Jr. Boston is the more volatile of the two with much higher upside; Concepcion sees about 5% more targets but averages less than half of Boston’s 21.8 yards per reception. The Jets are a bottom-10 matchup, but the rash of injuries at the position keeps both Browns inside the top 36 at the position.
Tight End
Harold Fannin Jr: STREAMER
Currently TE7 on the season, it may seem a bit odd that I have Harold Fannin Jr. as a streamer this week. But touchdowns have done a lot of the heavy lifting over the last two weeks, and the Jets have yet to allow one to a tight end all season. Fannin has fewer than 12 fantasy points in three of his four games and isn’t quite the floor play he may appear to be.
Defense/Special Teams
Cleveland Browns: START
The Browns defense is far from the unit we saw in Week 1. They should rack up sacks as they rank inside the top five and face a Jets team that ranks top five in sacks taken.
New York Jets
Quarterback
Geno Smith: SIT, QB2 (Startable in Superflex)
Geno Smith is a tough read this week. Outside of his Week 3 start against the Lions, he’s averaging 193 passing yards per game and a total of two touchdowns in three games. The Browns are a top-10 matchup and are coming off allowing the dry husk of Aaron Rodgers’ body to throw three touchdowns against them, one more than he had all season coming into the game. If he’s on your roster in Superflex, there’s a good chance you’re going to need to start him. But in one of the two games with an implied game total under 40 at the time of writing, I’m avoiding Geno if I’m able.
Running Back
Breece Hall: OUT
Braelon Allen: START, RB2
Isaiah Davis: SIT
Although there’s nothing official as I’m writing this, the chances for Breece Hall to play in Week 5 are slim to none. So fire up Braelon Allen, right? Well, sure. Start just about any running back that sits atop their respective depth chart and is set to get 10+ total touches. Allen should be started; don’t get me wrong. But don’t expect anything more than RB2 production, tops… unless Allen can once again get four straight plays for 26 yards. The Browns have yet to allow a touchdown to a running back and rank in the bottom 10 of points allowed to them.
Wide Receiver
Garrett Wilson: START, WR1
Adonai Mitchell: SIT
Isaiah Williams: SIT
You can chalk up Garret Wilson‘s Week 4 dud to “it be like that sometimes.” Coming into the game, Wilson had yet to finish a contest without at least five catches and 50 yards, averaging 19.1 fantasy points per game. The Jets only had the ball for 17 minutes of game time in Chicago, so there wasn’t much of a chance for Wilson to make an impact in the game. Cleveland is a top-10 matchup and allowed the 2nd most touchdowns to receivers, locking Wilson in as a WR1 despite the low projected game total.
Tight End
Kenyon Sadiq: STREAMER
Mason Taylor: SIT
Mason Taylor was cleared to return to practice, but there’s no putting that Kenyon Sadiq cat back in the bag. He didn’t record a catch against the Bears, but that’s not surprising considering the matchup. But fire Sadiq right back up as a streamer against the Browns, who are averaging nearly 17 points allowed to the position.
Defense/Special Teams
New York Jets: START
Low-scoring game with Deshaun Watson across the line of scrimmage? Yes, please.
