New York Jets
Quarterback
Geno Smith: SIT, QB2 (Startable in Superflex)
Geno Smith has been a solid Superflex starter in the right matchups, and is coming off two games of nearly 300 passing yards per and five total touchdowns. Matchups matter for guys like Geno, and the Chiefs are not one you want to try. The Chiefs have shut down opposing pass games, allowing just seven touchdowns through the air this season and are one of seven teams holding opponents to fewer than 20 points per game. Smith is a desperation Superflex starter heading to Arrowhead.
Running Back
Breece Hall: START, RB2
Braelon Allen: FLEX, RB3
Isaiah Davis: SIT
Breece Hall got a half-hearted vote of confidence from Jets offensive coordinator Frank Reich, who said he “assumes” Hall will maintain his status as the team’s lead back upon return from injury. Braelon Allen has shown he can handle the load with Hall out, and with rumors swirling that Hall could be traded, Allen could be the guy for the Jets down the stretch. It’s not official, but Hall is expected to play this week but gets a rough one to return to. Kansas City is tied for the league low in yards per carry given up with 3.3 and gives up just 70.3 rushing yards to backs per game.
Wide Receiver
Garrett Wilson: START, WR2
Omar Cooper Jr: FLEX, WR4
Adonai Mitchell: SIT
Garrett Wilson was in concussion protocol at the time of writing, and his status for Sunday’s tilt with the Chiefs is up in the air. If he’s active, Wilson remains a WR2 despite a brutal matchup against Kansas City, who has given up just two touchdowns to wide receivers this season. Omar Cooper Jr.‘s big-play ability and recent surge are enough to keep him a FLEX with Wilson in, and he’d bump to a WR3 if Wilson were to miss.
Tight End
Mason Taylor: SIT
Kenyon Sadiq: SIT
Mason Taylor plummeted back to earth with 4.9 points after his two-touchdown game against the Dolphins. Kansas City is a top five matchup for tight ends, but both Taylor and Kenyon Sadiq are both firmly in tHe gLoB.
Defense/Special Teams
New York Jets: SIT

Kansas City Chiefs
Quarterback
Patrick Mahomes: START, QB1
After back-to-back games without a passing touchdown, Patrick Mahomes told the haters hoping for his downfall to let it go like it was Frozen. Mahomes went into Denver and had his second 300+ yard, three passing touchdown game of the season. The Jets have just a single interception and have allowed the most points to the position over their last three games.
Running Back
Kenneth Walker: START, RB1
Emmett Johnson: FLEX, RB4
Jaydn Ott: SIT
Kenneth Walker has back-to-back games under 13 points but remains a must-start. Walker’s kinda like the charger you were convinced was broken. You threw it across the room twice, plugged it into a different outlet, and suddenly it works just fine. Emmett Johnson’s 25.3-point performance came out of nowhere like an RKO, but the rookie could see some extra touches considering his explosiveness and chances the Chiefs blow out the Jets.
Wide Receiver
Rashee Rice: START, WR2
Xavier Worthy: SIT
Cyrus Allen: SIT
Rashee Rice returned, and boy, it was nice. Rice caught seven of eight targets against the Broncos, including his second touchdown of the season, and has re-emerged as the top receiver for Mahomes and the Chiefs. The matchup isn’t great, with the Jets allowing less than 200 passing yards per game, but with Rice’s role, he remains a WR2.
Tight End
Travis Kelce: START, TE1
There was some concern for Travis Kelce as his snap percentage dipped into the 60s versus the Chargers in Week 6, tallying just 11 targets from Weeks 3-6 (KC had a Week 5 bye). But back-to-back games with a snap rate of 78 or more and at least seven targets should quell those complaints. He’s a low-end TE1 at this point in his career, but his steady role gives Kelce a relatively safe floor.
Defense/Special Teams
Kansas City Chiefs: START
Kansas City allows the fourth-fewest points per game and is pushing towards a double-digit home favorite.
