Dallas Cowboys

Quarterback

Dak Prescott: START, QB1

Dak Prescott threw for fewer than 200 yards for the second time this season in Week 8, but made up the difference on the ground with seven carries for 20 yards and a rushing score. It was his second straight multi-score game after a string of four straight with a single touchdown. The Colts matchup is a middling one, but they’ve only forced two interceptions and given up three passing touchdowns in two of their last four games (with Cam Ward and Kyler Murray only able to muster one each). An implied team total pushing 30 points and nearly a touchdown favorite on the road, Dak should eat in Indy and is a must-start in all formats.

Running Back

Javonte Williams: START, RB1
Tyler Goodson: SIT

Javonte Williams is in a great spot after a Week 8 dud, facing a Colts defense allowing 4.7 yards per carry and the ninth-most points to the position per game. Williams’ 20 goal-line carries is first at the position, and his 36 red zone carries ranks third. He owns the Dallas backfield, handling 75% of the running back snaps and 78% of the carries. Weekly, he’s a volume-based RB2 at minimum, but in a matchup like this, he’s a top 12 option.

Wide Receiver

CeeDee Lamb: START, WR1
George Pickens: START, WR2
Ryan Flournoy: FLEX, WR4

No matter how much of a disaster Dallas is, CeeDee Lamb is always a start. It’s like your flight getting delayed, the gate changing twice, and you still end up with an empty seat next to you. The whole day is a mess, yet somehow your part still worked out. George Pickens is dealing with a hamstring issue that in part kept him to just 57% of snaps in Week 8 and was limited in practice at the time of writing. He’s expected to play and check in as a high-risk, high-reward WR2 in a difficult matchup against the Colts. Receivers have been productive against them, with a 1.66 yards per route run, the fourth-highest allowed to the position, but they’re a bottom-10 matchup for fantasy by only allowing 9.4 catches per game to receivers and five touchdowns to the position all year. Ryan Flournoy offers some FLEX appeal and would bump to WR3 status were Pickens injury status to worsen and keep him out.

Tight End

Jake Ferguson: SIT

Jake Ferguson has 13 yards over his last three games, and his ankle has him in questionable. Hard no regardless.

Defense/Special Teams

Dallas Cowboys: SIT

Dallas has the third-fewest takeaways and allows the most yards in the league.

Indianapolis Colts

Quarterback

Daniel Jones: SIT

I don’t care that Dallas is a top-10 matchup and just gave up three passing touchdowns to Gardner Minshew. Daniel Jones has been abysmal this season, failing to throw a touchdown in three of his eight starts and rocking a sweet 5:9 touchdown-to-interception ratio. Rumor has it his Mom even dropped him in her fantasy league (she picked up Minshew).

Running Back

Jonathan Taylor: START, RB1
Seth McGowan: SIT
DJ Giddens: SIT

Jonathan Taylor could get moved before the trade deadline, but as long as he’s still a Colt come Sunday, he should eat in a top five matchup against a Dallas defense allowing over 150 rushing yards per game. Could he have his snaps limited as the Colts look to trade him for a king’s ransom? Sure. But Taylor has the talent to get 70% of his normal snaps and still make it worth your while to start him in fantasy.

Wide Receiver

Keenan Allen: FLEX, WR4
Josh Downs: FLEX, WR4
Laquon Treadwell: SIT

Despite the delicious matchup with Dallas, Jones is just playing too poorly to consider both Keenan Allen and Josh Downs anything more than a FLEX. Allen has the higher floor with at least seven targets in four of his last five games, but the ceiling for both is nerfed by Jones.

Tight End

Tyler Warren: START, TE1

Tyler Warren disappointed in Week 8 in his return from a groin injury, but he still saw his usual helping of 10 targets. His role remains unchanged and he has enough work to start him as a TE1 any given week.

Defense/Special Teams

Indianapolis Colts: SIT

Indy allows the third-most points per game, and this one has an implied total over 50.
