Kickoff: Sunday, November 8, 2026, 4:25 PM ET

Location: Lumen Field, Seattle, WA

Network: FOX

Arizona Cardinals

Quarterback

Gardner Minshew II: SIT

Man, I really, really want to make Gardner Minshew II a Start this week. But I just can’t against the Seahawks. Seattle blitzes at the third-lowest rate but still averages over two sacks per game. They’re holding opponents to the lowest average total yards, passing yards, and under 20 points per game.

Running Back

Tyler Allgeier: FLEX, RB3
Bam Knight: Likely OUT
Evan Hull: SIT

Tyler Allgeier went b-a-n-a-n-a-s against the Cowboys and should have the backfield to himself in Week 9 with Jeremiyah Love placed on the IR and Bam Knight in concussion protocol. So why do I have him as a mere FLEX? For starters, Seattle allows the lowest yards per carry to the position and is one of ten teams holding opposing RBs under 75 rushing yards per game. However, they are susceptible through the air against backs, allowing five catches and 30 receiving yards per game. I just don’t think the pass work will be enough to push Allgeier into the top 24. He’s a fine FLEX fill-in if you need it. This is why we stash handcuffs.

Wide Receiver

Michael Wilson: START, WR2
Simi Fehoko: SIT
Reggie Virgil: SIT

Michael Wilson got back on track with his best game of the season against the Cowboys, and it happening in the game Jacoby Brissett was benched bodes well for his long-term value. But he may find Week 9 a tough time to try to continue that type of production. Not only is Wilson dealing with two broken ribs suffered in the game against Dallas, but the matchup with Seattle is literally the worst for wide receivers. They’ve allowed just one 100-yard receiver and only five receiving touchdowns to the position this season. He’s not a lock to play, but at the time of writing it sounds like he’s expected to. Just keep an eye on practice reports as we progress towards Sunday.

Tight End

Trey McBride: START, TE1

Trey McBride is an elite fantasy option in a putrid offense. He’s the Dave & Buster’s inside a dead mall. Half the lights are off, everything around it is going out of business, and somehow D&B’s is packed and doing just fine.

Defense/Special Teams

Arizona Cardinals: SIT

Arizona allows the most points per game in the league. Stay far, far away.

Seattle Seahawks

Quarterback

Sam Darnold: OUT
Drew Lock: START (in Superflex), Borderline QB1

Sam Darnold suffered a quad and rib injury in Week 8 against the Bears and will not play in Week 9. What’s up with all the rib injuries lately? Is the McRib coming back soon or something?

Editor’s Note: It’s already back, Jay. You can’t escape it.

Darnold’s injury sets up Drew Lock to make his second start of the season, oddly enough against the same team he did in Week 2. Last time these teams met, Lock threw for over 200 yards and three touchdowns. Considering the sad state of the quarterback position, I view Lock as an auto-start in Superflex and honestly not a bad option in 1QB either. He’s of course a risk, but the matchup couldn’t be much better.

Running Back

Zach Charbonnet: SIT
Jadarian Price: SIT
Emanuel Wilson: SIT

This backfield is gross. It’s an average matchup, but the Cardinals allow the fewest catches to the position, hollowing out probably the only way one of these backs could push for double digits outside of getting into the end zone.

Wide Receiver

Jaxon Smith-Njigba: START, WR1
Cooper Kupp: SIT
Rashid Shaheed: SIT

Jaxon Smith-Njigba stays in your starting lineup all season long. It’s like realizing your winter coat has that inside pocket you forgot about, then finding the $20 you hid in there months ago. You didn’t get anything new; you just remembered you already had something pretty valuable.

Tight End

AJ Barner: SIT

AJ Barner has 34 targets, no receiving touchdowns, and his 2.1 aDOT is the lowest at the position. He has one game over 9 points this season. Sit.

Defense/Special Teams

Seattle Seahawks: START

Seattle allows the fewest yards per game and is a 12.5-point favorite against Gardner Minshew.
