Green Bay Packers

Quarterback

Jordan Love: START (in Superflex), Borderline QB1

Jordan Love is about as safe as they come for fantasy quarterbacks, yet still with a sprinkle of upside. Love’s scored multiple touchdowns in every game this season and is coming off his first three-touchdown game of the year. BUT… next up is New England. A defense that’s allowed just 11 passing touchdowns in eight games and fewer than 240 through the air on average. Love’s playing well enough to still be startable in just about all formats, but he’s more towards the back of the QB1s than usual.

Running Back

Josh Jacobs: START, RB1
Marshawn Lloyd: SIT
Pierre Strong Jr.: SIT

Josh Jacobs has balled out since returning to the Packers, and it’s pretty much been through the pass game. His efficiency has been abysmal (2.34 yards per carry), but he’s seen at least six targets in both of his games played this season and caught a touchdown in each. Jacobs already has nine red zone carries in just three games and has played nearly 70% of third down snaps. As long as he’s on the field, he’s a borderline RB1.

Wide Receiver

Christian Watson: START, WR1
Matthew Golden: START, WR1
Savion Williams: SIT

A top-10 matchup against a New England team that’s allowed nine touchdowns to receivers this season, Christian Watson is an easy WR1 if he’s able to suit up. Watson left the game against Carolina and returned despite a broken rib, and it sounds like he should be able to play against the Pats, but it’s far from a certainty. With or without Watson, Matthew Golden is a WR1 with a golden matchup on tap. He’s gone over 100 yards or scored a touchdown in five of eight games.

Tight End

Tucker Kraft: START, TE1

Tucker Kraft has a minimum of six targets in every game but once since Week 3 and ranks top 10 in targets and catches at the position. New England is a below-average matchup, but Kraft’s steady volume slots him in as a weekly TE1 play.

Defense/Special Teams

Green Bay Packers: START

Green Bay leads the league in takeaways per game. New England is tied for the second-most giveaways. Like Peanut Butter and Jelly.

New England Patriots

Quarterback

Drake Maye: START, QB1

Starting Drake Maye is like the backup generator kicking on before you even find the flashlight. Things might not go perfectly, but apparently somebody planned for this.

Running Back

Rhamondre Stevenson: START, RB2
TreVeyon Henderson: SIT
Corey Kiner: SIT

Rhamondre Stevenson should once again have almost all of the Patriots backfield work to himself with TreVeyon Henderson still not practicing. Stevenson is set up to get back into the endzone after scoring just one touchdown in his last three. Green Bay has given up 11 touchdowns to the position, tied for fourth most and leads the team in both red zone and goal line carries.

Wide Receiver

DeMario Douglas: START, WR3
Efton Chism III: SIT
A.J. Brown: SIT

DeMario Douglas has emerged as the top receiver for the Patriots despite the recent return of A.J. Brown, catching four touchdowns over New England’s last four, scoring 16 or more PPR points over that stretch. Brown wasn’t practicing at the time of writing and wound up missing Week 8 against the Dolphins. It feels blasphemous to type this, but even if Brown is able to suit up, he’s done nothing to show he deserves to start for your fantasy team until proven otherwise. Douglas is a volatile but high-upside WR3 play in a matchup with a Packers defense allowing the second most points to receivers over their last three.

Tight End

Hunter Henry: SIT

Hunter Henry has been steady as of late and emerging from tHe gLoB, but a bad matchup with Green Bay and a foot injury that may cause him to miss makes Henry an easy one to skip. If Henry misses, I’d keep an eye on Eli Raridon‘s role as a rookie who has flashed at times this season. I wouldn’t count him as a starter or streamer just yet, but if Henry misses extended time, he’s an interesting pickup.

Defense/Special Teams

New England Patriots: STREAMER

New England is top 10 in sacks and fewest points allowed per game.
