Denver Broncos
Quarterback
Bo Nix: SIT, QB2 (Startable in Superflex)
You better bo-lieve that Bo Nix is back. Back to being startable in Superflex at least. Nix scored twice for the second straight game and threw two touchdowns for the second time this season against the Chiefs, throwing for 222 yards in consecutive games. But Nix completed just 62.5% of his pass attempts and takes on a Carolina defense that’s allowed just three quarterbacks to throw for over 250 yards and allowed multiple passing touchdowns just three times as well.
Running Back
Jonah Coleman: START, RB2
J.K. Dobbins: FLEX, RB4
The Broncos’ backfield officially belongs to Jonah Coleman. Since returning from the IR, Coleman has out-touched J.K. Dobbins 26-23 and outscored him in both games. Week 7 was by less than a point, but Week 8 was by almost 20. Coleman should be considered the RB1 in this offense and a high-upside RB2 in a delightful matchup against the Panthers, who allow nearly 30 points per game to the position. Even with the matchup, Dobbins has less than 10 touches in consecutive games and can’t be viewed as anything more than a FLEX play.
Wide Receiver
Jaylen Waddle: START, WR3
Courtland Sutton: SIT
Troy Franklin: SIT
Jaylen Waddle was able to get into the end zone for the second time this season against the Chiefs, but could run into trouble trying to repeat the feat against the Panthers. Carolina has given up just four touchdowns to wide receivers this season and only allowed two to pass the century mark. Waddle is startable considering he’s seen six or more targets in all but two games. But the ceiling’s low. So is the floor.
Tight End
Evan Engram: SIT
Evan Engram has three catches in his past four games. Combined, not each.
Defense/Special Teams
Denver Broncos: START
Denver is top 10 in sacks, and Carolina is tied for the second-most sacks taken.
Carolina Panthers
Quarterback
Bryce Young: SIT, QB2 (Startable in Superflex)
Bryce Young has cooled off considerably from his scorching hot start to the season, but he’s still startable in Superflex leagues. Young hasn’t thrown multiple scores or for at least 210 yards in back-to-back games. Denver allows a lot of yardage (355.2 per game) but is keeping teams from scoring, holding opponents to 20.6 points per game.
Running Back
Chuba Hubbard: START, RB1
Chuba Hubbard is averaging 24 opportunities per game over his last three and currently ranks as the RB6 in points per game this season. The Broncos have been quite friendly to running backs in fantasy, allowing the 10th-most points to the position and nearly 50 receiving yards to backs per game. Hubbard’s 79% snap share is tied for first at the position and has him locked into weekly starter status.
Wide Receiver
Tetairoa McMillan: START, WR2
Jalen Coker: START, WR2
John Metchie III: SIT
Guess who’s tied with the Panthers with four passing touchdowns allowed to receivers this season. If you guessed the Washington Senators, you’re my people, but you’re wrong. If you guessed the Broncos, much better. Denver has shut down most receivers in 2026, but did allow JSN to go off a few weeks ago. But let’s be honest, who doesn’t get torched by the ECRA? Tetairoa McMillan averages nine targets per game and Jalen Coker two fewer, but hold a significant enough role to both be considered WR2s most weeks.
Tight End
Tommy Tremble: SIT
Darren Waller: SIT
Mitchell Evans: SIT
Denver gives up the seventh-most points to the position, but the tight end room in Carolina is a gross three-way split and too crowded to trust.
Defense/Special Teams
Carolina Panthers: SIT
Carolina is one of five teams allowing over 27 points per game. Easy sit.
