Chicago Bears

Quarterback

Caleb Williams: SIT, QB2 (Startable in Superflex)

After throwing just one touchdown over his last two games, Caleb Williams needed just 19 completions to toss three against the Steelers. Williams had 239 passing yards and chipped in 21 on the ground, and unfortunately, did lose a fumble. Williams was shaky despite what the box score says, ending the day with a 54.3% completion percentage (worse than Shedeur Sanders). Williams faces the ferocious Philly defense on Black Friday, which, prior to last week, held quarterbacks to one or fewer passing touchdowns in each of their last six games. He’s easily a start in Superflex, but I’d prefer to bench Williams in 1QB leagues.

Running Back

D’Andre Swift: FLEX, RB3
Kyle Monangai: FLEX, RB3

Has there been a changing of the guard for the Bears? With both Kyle Monangai and D’Andre Swift active and healthy through the entire game, the rookie saw more snaps, rushing attempts, and two of three goal-line carries, scoring the only touchdown between the two. Swift was inefficient with the eight carries he did see, totalling 15 yards on 1.9 yards per carry. With the unpredictable touch distribution and middle-of-the-road matchup, consider both backs as high-end FLEX options.

Wide Receiver

Rome Odunze: START, WR2
DJ Moore: START, WR3
Luther Burden III: SIT

Two of Chicago’s Week 12 scores went to DJ Moore, who led the Bears in receiving yardage and was second in targets to Rome Odunze. Luther Burden saw five targets as well, and he, Odunze, and Moore all were within 20 yards of each other, 64 for Moore, 53 for Odunze, and 46 for Burden. The rookies’ growing involvement makes the Bears’ receivers a bit tougher to predict on a week-to-week basis, but it is an exciting development for the ceiling of Caleb Williams. The Eagles have allowed the 12th fewest fantasy points to the position this season, but things have been a bit different since Week 10. Over Philly’s last three games, they’ve allowed 13.8 yards per reception and 7.1 yards after the catch per reception, the third-highest averages in each. Burden hasn’t done enough to consider starting just yet, but Odunze and Moore are startable as a WR2 and WR3, respectively.

Tight End

Colston Loveland: SIT
Cole Kmet: SIT

Coleston Loveland got into the endzone and scored over 10 points for the first time this season in a game Cole Kmet didn’t leave early. Loveland played just one more snap than Kmet, but has outtargeted him in two of the last three games. Kmet’s presence still puts a cap on Loveland’s ceiling and chips away at his floor, but Loveland seems to be slowly surpassing the veteran in the pecking order. That being said, the Eagles have locked down tight ends, allowing just one touchdown and an average of 29 yards per game to the position. If you start the rookie, you’re banking on a touchdown.

Defense/Special Teams

Chicago Bears: SIT

The Bears allowed 22 points to a team led by Mason Rudolph.

Philadelphia Eagles

Quarterback

Jalen Hurts: START, QB1

Lock Jalen Hurts into your lineups, but did you know that just before Thanksgiving last year, he visited the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia to host BINGO and let patients design the custom cleats he wore on the field during the following Sunday’s game?

Running Back

Saquon Barkley: START, RB2
Tank Bigsby: SIT

The hope that Saquon Barkley‘s dominant 33-point performance against his former team was a sign of him turning around his season is all but gone. Barkley has scored over 13 fantasy points just once since Week 4 and averaged a paltry 2.7 yards per carry in his three games since the Eagles bye. The Bears are a below-average matchup, and at this point, you can’t consider Barkley anything more than an RB2. He’ll have those blow-up games from time to time, but the once high floor is essentially gone.

Wide Receiver

A.J. Brown: START, WR1
DeVonta Smith: START, WR2
Jahan Dotson: SIT

Well, A.J. Brown was targeted 10 times and had a season-high eight catches… but the Eagles lost. So is he happy? Well, DeVonta Smith also out-targeted him, so who knows. But both have double-digit fantasy points in four of their last five games and are locked into your lineups against the Bears. Chicago allows the fifth most points to the position and allowed 22 passing touchdowns this season, tied for third most with Jacksonville and Washington.

Tight End

Dallas Goedert: tHe gLoB

Dallas Goedert is averaging 5.6 points since the bye and has not had 10+ points in a game without catching a touchdown since Week 1.

Defense/Special Teams

Philadelphia Eagles: START

Even after allowing 24 points to Dallas in Week 12, the Eagles are allowing just 13.3 points per game over their last three (2nd fewest in the NFL.
