Game at a Glance
Atlanta Falcons
Quarterback
Kirk Cousins: SIT
The two-touchdown performance we got from Kirk Cousins last week was his best at this point in his career. Cousins completed just 16 passes and was under 200 passing yards for the second time in two starts. He’s only an option if you need a warm body in 2QB or Superflex leagues.
Running Back
Bijan Robinson: START, RB1
Tyler Allgeier: SIT
Poor Bijan Robinson. If getting vultured by Tyler Allgeier all year wasn’t enough, the Falcons’ offense took a major hit with the loss of Michael Penix Jr. Robinson is one of the most talented backs in the entire league, so on volume and talent alone, he’s still starting for your team every week. But the suboptimal situation in Atlanta caps his ceiling and drops his floor, making him a volatile, borderline RB1 regardless of matchup.
Wide Receiver
Drake London
Darnell Mooney: SIT
Even operating as Atlanta’s WR1 with Drake London on the shelf, Darnell Mooney caught three balls on three targets, including this flashback to last season.

But back to reality. Sure, Mooney was able to come down with a 49-yard touchdown pass from Cousins, but that play accounted for over 66% of Mooney’s yardage on the day. He should be rostered in case the Cousins connection leads to a solid stretch to close the season. But I’m not willing to bank on explosive plays from the Falcons’ offense and the ghost of Kirko Chainz when Mooney has a total of seven targets in Cousins’ two starts.
Tight End
Kyle Pitts Sr: tHe gLoB
This one hurts.
Kyle Pitts, welcome to tHe gLoB.
Defense/Special Teams
Atlanta Falcons: START
The Jets have scored 14 or fewer points in four of their last six games.Â
New York Jets
Quarterback
Tyrod Taylor: SIT
With no teams on bye, Tyrod Taylor should only be started in the most desperate of Superflex situations. Even then, you’re likely better off starting a position player than him.
Running Back
Breece Hall: START, RB2
Isaiah Davis: SIT
Breece Hall has surpassed expectations as the Jets’ lone legitimate weapon. Hall has totaled over 100 yards in three of his last four games, averaging over 19 points per game over that span. He’s a high-end RB2 against the Falcons, who allow the sixth-most points to the position. Since Week 10, Atlanta has given up 156.3 rushing yards per game, 4.99 yards per carry, and a top-10 explosive run rate of 5.4%.
Wide Receiver
John Metchie III: FLEX, WR4
Isaiah Williams: SIT
Adonai Mitchell: SIT
John Metchie III? Now that’s a name I’ve not heard in a long time. But the former Texan caught six of seven targets for 65 yards and had his second consecutive game with a touchdown reception. He’s averaged 16 points per game over his last two and may be emerging as a decent flex option as the de facto WR1 for the Jets. The Falcons have given up four passing touchdowns and a league-high 315.3 passing yards over their last three games. Even so, Metchie is the only Jets receiver remotely startable for fantasy.
Tight End
Mason Taylor: SIT
The promising young rookie isn’t a fantasy option this season. Mason Taylor has amassed eight receptions for 54 yards over his last three games. That’s a total, not average.
